EVENT #10 VQ AutoCross Championship @ TMS 11/12
Here is my Vid of my beast run. The mount shifted a bit so the angle is not great..
I liked the new bushings but now I have developed some wheel hope. You can hear it at the launch.

Had a great time and missed all you other guys.
Gavin, Thanks for putting in the time to set this up and keep it going, well done.
The 10th works for me, looks like the only weekend I'll have off so nice timing.

I thought my afternoon times were going to be in the 49's, but I just couldn't find the grip in a lot of the places you did.
I need to start looking for some Hankooks.
Nice job!
Yes, great run for you Scott !
You might want to look into those Koni's like they were talkin' about at lunch.
I didn't have a great day myself...would have like to have been low 51's like where Gavin ended up...but I just got too many cones on the afternoon runs and had only my 8th run to make a good clean run....I think it was my best of the day tho.

I like the RS3's but they need some heat. The Star specs are better right out off the start and dont drop off much. The rs3 are pretty slick the first couple of runs but just get better the more runs you take.
A couple of months age the RS3 was about impossible to get in some sizes (STR 255's) no t sure if they have caught up yet. Might start looking early if your getting close to new tires.
Thanks,

I still have plenty of time to decide, and will sell off a set or two of 17" wheels if I go back to 18"s.
From what I was reading the RS3's are .5 seconds a lap faster than the Direzza's, and now I believe it.
They still don't have the sizes I need, unless I choose to go back to 18" wheels. If I'm going to do that, I may as well get a set of Hoosier A6's (another set I can't get in my 17" sizes), and race in Class Z.

What size Star's are you running?
The other thing with the RS3 is it is fat for a 255 and cheap in the 17 inch size

Hey guys, just popping in to say I'm back from falling off the earth for a bit there. I've been out of town most weekends the last couple of months. I know the events are done but hopefully see some of you soon.
Yep, I am running 255/40/17. I ordered them at discount tire when they had a sale and they ended up getting them from tire rack. Put lots of feelers out. Who knows who gets the next shipment.

225/45/17 front, and 245/45/17 rear.
I have to run staggered, or my ABS cuts out entirely. I ruined (flat spotted) a one day old pair of RE01R's finding this out.......
With the Hankook's, I can get 245 fronts and 265 rears, but only in the 18" sizes. I'd love to test out a 255 square setup, but I'm not willing to spend the money to find out if the ABS goes out again.
At the time I was using SPC camber arms, and I've switched to the Kinetix since then. I'm not sure if removing the SPC's spacers solved the problem or not.
The Direzza's I was using are my "rain" tires, and are skinny!

Championship Results
Since I was the only one who made more then 8 events it really didn't change the scores all that much. But I've included the raw data for completeness.
Best of 8 events.

+1 Gavin !
Well done Sir. Thanks for all the data input and updates thru the year.
I think Scott needs to have a handicapp for next year....I don't like the 5 for 5 wins with a 45 for only 5 events !
I was in 8 events and only 50 points....he missed half the season and should have been in second.
Kudos to you Scott also for placing 1st in all of your events with us !
