I have a full NISMO exhaust for sale (Y-pipe, midpipe, and muffler). Y-pipe and midpipe were welded together for strength. Weld was cut so that exhaust could fit in my Z after I uninstalled it. No problems with the exhaust system at all, selling because I am getting a new car. Post or PM any questions. $500 firm.
Alberto, how is it "hacked up?" I welded the Ypipe and Midpipe because I had heard the flange between the 2 pieces can crack over time... its a simple straight cut any muffler shop will weld back together. And where is the rust? Pieces need to be cleaned after being on the car for 20k miles, but tell me which piece you see rust on.
the exhaust may not be rusted, but the black discoloration makes it appear as if it's been used for way more than 20k miles. This particular piece would also require additional welding (aka, not plug-and-play) for the next potential buyer. If you don't have access to a welding machine, it would incur additional costs ($40-80.) In most general cases, hacking/welding an exhaust (esp from Nismo) is generally not required.
Example of a used exhaust piece w/ roughly 20k miles: Notice no black discoloration on the piping
P.S. on the off-chance that you may be new around here, unmodified Nismo exhaust setups go for $400-450: with no piping discoloration and/or hacking/modifications to the original equipment
the exhaust may not be rusted, but the black discoloration makes it appear as if it's been used for way more than 20k miles.
I had the Y-pipe and midpipe ceramic coated black before I first installed it. If the pipes turned black from excessive use, the muffler piping would have changed colors too.
