I've been thinking about getting a replica body kit of the INGS +1 body kit (it's actually called HUR + 1) from Hopupracing.com (here's a pic http://www.hopupracing.com/hur1bokit35.html ) The only issue I have is that it's fiberglass. What is your take on this kit and the fact that it's fiberglass.
I'm lovin the INGS +1 kit, but it's much more than I want to spend and this seems to fit my needs and desired look.
Any suggestions/ opinions would be appreciated, especially since I know some of you have fiberglass kits already.
Thanks, and see you all in a couple of weeks on the drive!

I'm not sure of the quality of this kit since I have not seen it in person. I'm also not sure if anyone in the Mid-A has it either. I have a fiberglass kit myself... and no problems yet.. but then I drive like grandma... and dont take the Z anywhere there are speed bumps-potholes-steep driveways-etc

Thanks Mike. My real concern is that it's fiberglass, and being unfamiliar with body kits I'm just wondering about the durability in comparison to polyurethane. But, oh well, guess the only way to find out is to spend some money :-)...And I like to possibility of being somewhat original
The Vizage body kit on my car is all fiberglass.....My opinion is this...
Paint/prep/fit can be a pain in the *** if you don't find a good shop that works with fiberglass. Most body shops these days deal only with Urethane.
Care: I'm starting to get a few small stress cracks in my kit, and I know other people have the same thing going on with their FG kits as well. It's the nature of the beast with something as rigid as FG.
Durability: Fiberglass will chip easier than Urethane. It's harder to repair and tends to be harder to touch up.
The quality of my kit was excellent according to my shop and it was still $2k to prep/paint/fit. It would have been more if there were any serious flaws or damage from shipping. Urethane would have been much cheaper.
I don't understand why some kits are made with Fiberglass, but if mine was available in Urethan, I surely would have bought that instead.

Hey Kelly, Thanks for the reply. I was pretty sure those would be issues I'd need to deal with (stress cracks, possible flaws and fitment issues), but wasn't completely sure. Seems to make me feel like urethane would be the way to go even though it costs much more. Anyway, thanks for the info, and opinions guys. Hope to see you at the meet.
