I'm curious, what can a detailer do that you can't? I try to keep my car clean enough that paying a detailer to hit the little stuff would be a waste of money, and I always prefer cleaning my own car. Is there some special cleaning process that a detailer would use? Just tryin' to figure this one out.

I need one to use a buffer to get two little minor scratches out and some water spots on my roof. Meguiars recommends that if there product won't get it out then see a professional. Plus, I have no experience with a buffer and they could teach me.
