Default Props to AMS Tuning for my Cutom DEFI Instal..

Awesome! That is exactly what there guys are. As you all know I have just begun my 350Z modifications. After the vortech I figured it was time to get some guages to see monitor. Well after going around to a few shops I really did like the customer support/ atmosphere I got from the guys at AMS ( Cory and Mike ).

I showed up at 4:00 pm with a plan of getting a great deal on a DEFI guage and just having it mounted to my dash until my Apillar came in.

Well the minute I walked into the place I was greated with a hello, your Juan right? be right with ya. I mean is that customer service or what?

We started with looking at some gauges, chatting, just getting a feel for the place.

Then went to work on it throwing around ideas...I have yet to expirence technicians that are so into their installs.

I finally got my gauges in and boy do they look hot!!!! Never seen this instal before.. hope Im the first one around here anyways.

I am very thrilled to meet people whom still work in the import tuner world for the passion of the tuning and not soley for the profit alone. Just an all around A+ couple of guys doing what they love .... making you go faster and look better.

If you have any needs give these guys a call, tell them Juan sent you.

Now as for my boost gauge and what it was telling me ....hmmm.

I am having issues with my picture size . You do see that we installed the gauges in the stock vents near the door handles. Boost on driver side and EGT on passenger side. THe control unit was custom mounted where the nav unit would have normally gone ..
I will post picks when I can make them smaller.

Just would like to say thanks again to Cory and Mike up in Gaithersburg MD.

Thanks Guys!

It's amazing that nobody ever thought of doing a guage install like this. That's a really cool idea. Good to know of this shop too! Just more incentive to get my @$$ in gear and get the F/I oon my car.

oh, nice picture BTW

I also know the owners of the shop...one of them (Mike) is the owner of www.nissanclub.com They were actually just on the cover of the Washington Post regarding tuning cars.

They are good guys, if you talk to them, you can say Juan sent you, but also add in that Dave from ActiveTuning sent you Juan did that and look at the service he got

Wow, I hope that EGT guage doesn't prove to be too hard to see when you're driving. The install still looks awesome though. Nice work AMS!!

Out of curiosity, do they not make a A pillar gauge cluster for the 350z?? I know they made one for the G not too long ago for 3 gauges in the A pillar...just was curious as to why they were put in the vents and as kelly mentioned, isnt it hard to see the gauge on the passenger side door?? Other than that, the gauges look great...id get some but i got nothing to measure!! NO F/I

Default Great just great all around ..

Acutally Autometer does make a 2 pod and 3 pod gauges cluster for the 350z. I just didnt really like the complete drag car look with gauges running along the side of my pillar. As far as being able to see the gauges I can see them perfectly from my driver seat. I also like the cutsom stealth look when the car isnt on. The vents just blew in my face or right on my hands. I always keep it on the floor or on the window ... its a lil car and heats/cools quick.

They work perfect though .. good clear line of sight and I dont lose my stock gauges or have something unprofessional sticking off the dash or anything ...

Very clean and simplistic the way I like it.
