Any new info?

 

Sorry guys .. I still had not had a chance to get a hold of my guy..dealing with my car all day today... Am I glad I took the day off.. took it for an inspection.. needed new tires up front... and I had to remove the headlight covers I JUST PUT ON! .. arrgg.. the only good thing is I got to ride in a Lambo while the guys at the ferarri dealer were working on my car. what an incredible car!... oh welll one day... on a more important note.... I did not realize how low my front tire tread was! ... lucky I did since I'll be at Summit point all day tomorrow.. ... Hopefully I can give him a call in between time trials ... or It will have to wait till sunday.. I'l pretty sure that he wont mind me posting his info.. but I want to be 100%

 

Ohhh.. and at the end of march the guys ar Ferrari will be up there .. and they threw an invite over to me.. I asked if I could bring some friends

From what I understand there will be a few lambo's, porsche's, ferrari's, and an f50. I dont wanna be the only Z guy there ... lemme get more info, I think that its $195.00 per day.. (2 days) and I do not believe that you need any prior track exp. to participate.... but .. like I said .. I'll fish a bit more info.. and start another thread.. since I appear to be hijacking my own thread.. LOL

 

Yeah, they mentioned something to me about that when I was there getting my oil changed, except I think they said end of May, not March . ***** and Josh are really nice guys. Did they tell you that they bought the franchise rights for Lambo from Chriswell Cheverolet? They gave me a tour of the shop area and let me poke around a pair of Gallardos they had in the back, but I didn't get a ride....darnit!

Anyway, I might be up for going out there, if not to race, just to hang out with the big boys. Most of the Ferrari owners I've met are pretty down to earth folks. I chatted with an older lady at the dealership that races Spec Fords (open cockpit, closed-wheel, purpose-built race cars) with her husband. I believe she said her daily driver is a Ferrari 348!

I am sorry. Not sure what u mean by "I got the kit in db". body kit?

I am getting some monochromatic lettering going accross the the middle right hand side of the door continuing up the rear panel to the trunk. Not sure if it will be identical on both sides yet.

I have a Veilside V3 350z model car that I taped the image to that looks kinda hot. So I just need to find out how much and how long to get this completed.

 

Mike -- I just talked to Pag and he seems like a really nice guy and his pricing apears very reasonable. I will let you guys know how this all works out. I will hopefully have all of this worked out in about 2 weeks or so.

To continue the Hijack that Mike started....I was at Ferrari today and was extended the same invitation to come out and race. The date is April 30 / May 1, and the cost is $200/day or $400/weekend. They are running three classes, beginner (instructor rides with you), intermediate, and advanced. The only requisite to drive is that you must have a helmet, and you must show something that indicates you've flushed your brake system in the last 6 months.

I don't know that I'm going to race, but I do want to try and go and watch and chat with the owners. The few that I've met (along with the mechanics and the service advisors) are all really nice people who are just generally car enthusiasts, not "uppity" at all.

The only thing is that it will be on the new track. I was just there for the EMRA time trials.. and its a little risky. They have not finished the final grading on the track so a few turns there are drop offs the size of cliffs . On friday a car flipped 2x when the driver put a wheel off..... Its a HIGHLY technical track.. but a hell of a blast. I think that we should start a new thread on it Kelly. I'll be there
