Default Got ECU reflash today!

I had my ECU reflashed at AAM today. The car seems little bit smoother when RPM above 3.5k.....and it cut off at 7100rmp. I did not have chance to play arround with it muchcuz of traffic, but I feel the car is getting lighter ...

Thanks AAM!

A butt load of money to just have your rev limiter moved up ..
I didnt really see a point in that ..
I think the flash is like 600$

I dont think that Juan is "hatin" .. I just think that since I'm a cheap bastard myself... I cant see paying that much for an ECU reflash. Since I'm a geek.. I think I might have to take a crack at breaking the crappy encryption on the ECU. (worked for VeriSign for a few years.. so encryption algs. are no stranger to me )

Poke around the code enough... and I could prolly figure out where the rev limit and maps are.. if I ever do this .. it'll be free reflashes for all.. maybe that will drive the price down.

Since I'm posting at 2 am .. I may be talking out of my azz.. but since I cant sleep...

glad to hear you like it man!
juan doesn't really know what the N/A world is all about...he actually doesn't know much about the F/I world either

but the reflash is definatley the most beneficial mod for the N/A Z or G....i loved it when i had it, definatley made the car something else to drive! if i could do it all over again...reflash 1st then start the modding, that little extra room to rev makes a dif...not only in 1/4 mile times, i know the prices are rediculous right now but we cant do much, technosquare has placed a price on it...and they plan on sticking by it for now...but man...if u all could understand the gains with this simple flash...wish i could show you guys...but im sure starcraft can tell you all about it...

Glad to hear your enjoying it man!

Gains? You can push your car harder, that will give you gains.

in a race to 120 from a 35 mph roll with a stock z with intake, exhaust, cats, plenum, i only pulled a few feet on my friends

after the AAM reflash i am now pulling ahead about 2-3 car lengths. the AF adjustment really helps.

No I did not do the dyno cuz of the price. I will dyno my car soon. It's not my imagination; it's a FACT. Anyone know where to get DynoJet with affordable price?

what was the turn around on this?

Did you have to pay for overnight shipping each way? or just the intial ship to them?

thanks!

I believe they are the same and that AAM is a vendor for the Technosquare software... please correct me if I am wrong...

they use the same software, but i believe they each had to do their own tuning and code breaking
