HIN does not
sell car show registrations at the door and participants are required to
roll-in their vehicles on the Friday (leave overnight) before the Saturday
show. Roll-in will be controlled by HIN

Hmm ... What do ya think ?
Well I have a question how do you get admission to HIN if you bring your car in before the show? Hmm ...

Steve you want to drive your car to teh show if we register mine I have to bring it in the night before I think ...

Kelly you nad mike wnat to do some SERIOUS cleaningn on the Friday before .. the 24th ?

We should all just register for the show as a club anyway....we could win best club if we can get enough Z's/G's with us. It's $50, but like I said before...I doubt you would go alone, and the $50 covers two people. So get the other person that was going to go with you to pay the other $25 and you're all set. It would be awesome to get all our Z's there, and we could potentially get some press.

do we even have enough guys that are serious about it to register as a club ?
I think the highly modified Z's are more apt to drift into random booths ..

For those that bring in on Friday, you do the cleaning in the show that night

So for example, we roll-in say 6-7 on Friday. Make sure your Z is washed and vacuumed before rolling in. Then when we get in the convention center and parked (make sure you bring cleaning supplies), basically clean the rest. So when I just did OC car show this past weekend it was the same deal. When I got parked in the convention center, I spray waxed, tire spray, polished wheels/exhaust, cleaned engine bay, leather cleaned the seats, and cleaned the dash. Then you're good to go for the show the next day

BUT, if we want to do this, you guys need to make some decisions right away so we can organize rolling in all together and making sure we are parked in the same location by talking to the event organizers over at HIN/Vision Entertainment

I hadn't either. They said approx. 2 weeks before the show you'd receive something, so I guess we should see something any day now.

Yeah I haven't gotten anything either besides that confirmation e-mail. I don't foresee any problems for a 350Z being in the show.

Hey Guys,

First I want to appologise for not participating in the forums as much as I used to. Time is hard to find now-a-days. I have registered for several HIN events. Usually you are not sent anything. You just use the paper that you print off during the initial on line registration. Bring that with you when you roll in and you will recieve all the credentials for you and your passenger for the event (Usually a wrist band).

Once you are positioned inside the building you will have time to detail your car. If you do not have enough time on Friday They usually will allow Show Participants to come in early on Saturday to finish thier displays and detail the cars.

As far as registering as a Club, usually you need to state that during your registration. Kelly, you may be able to call one of the coordinators from the HIN website and try to change the registration for club affiliation. Usually they will try to reserve space for the whole team to show together. There are 3 types of club awards 1. Club (Team) Participation 2. Best Represented Team and 3. Best Team. The competition is tough for these. I will be showing with my car club at this event but it would be good to see some other teams from our area represent.

Once the show is over (12am I think) you roll out.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Actually, there is conflicting information. That cheesy 1 page .pdf file says 1/8th of a tank, but the "roll-in" FAQ says 1/4 tank....These guys aren't impressing me at all.

Has ANYONE gotten anything in the mail yet? Anyone know what time roll-in is on Friday....Anyone?

For any of us who are "in the show", it is imperative that we caravan in together if we want to show together. Placement is first come first serve, and groups will not be allowed to reserve spaces. Load-in is between 3:00 and 8:00, so we should get there as early as possible..

I suggest we meet at Evolution NLT 3:00 for those who are showing. That way we can be there by 3:30 to get classified and placed. I for one will have a LOT of work to do on the car once inside.

HIN is usually pretty organized. Roll in is Fri From 3-8 PM you can return Saturday at 2PM for final prep and then Judging will start at 3PM. Show opens to public at 5PM. As per my post above I have never recieved anything in the mail for HIN events. All you need is to have a printed copy of your on line registration and you should be good to go.

See you all there!!
