I just got my biz trip plan today and now I gotta go to those two places on 19th. and 21st. I've never been there. Is it snowing...?

I wonder if I could meet some members there. If there are anyone who goes to Aerosmith shows on those dates, I would like to join you there!!!

Basically, I am free in daytime. On 18th. I fly to Philadelphia and go to Washington on 20th. by tour bus. Then I leave DC on 21st. to come back to California.

In Philadelphia, I will stay near First Union Center and in DC, I will stay near MCI Center.

Anyway.... any advice for Californian's first visit to PA, DC in December???

If you are looking for things to do during the day in DC, I recommend checking out the museums. They are not too far from the area where you will be staying.

 

We've still got snow on the ground in the DC area, but it's gonna rain today, so most of it may be gone next week.

The weather around here is very strange in winter. Expect anything... For example, just in the past week or so, we've had sub-freezing temps with snow, then an ice storm, and now rain with temps in the 40's.

Anyway, I be interested in meeting you while you're in town. What time are you leaving DC on Sat? Do you like to drink good (micro-brewed) beer?

I am in Philadelphia, of course I don't have a Z though (but I do have a Nissan...)

Are you staying in the Holiday Inn (I think thats what it is) by the FU Center?

 

Are there any nice nightclubs or bars??

It rained all day here today in the DC area.. so no more snow/ice.

There are PLENTY of bars/clubs. At MCI center, you'll be close to capital hill.. there are plenty of bars around there.

If you are more of a club type.. take a cab towards the west side of town (a massive 5-7 mile cab ride ) and you'll be in Georgetown. Georgetown and the vinicity will have the clubs and bars... Adams Morgan will have more bars.

What kind of club are you interested in? Classy... or loud dance club?

I'm in Northern VA (about 30mins outside the city), and wish I had aerosmith tickets.. but after dropping so much on the rolling stones the other month.. I think my concert budget is spent for the year

 

I may have to take Aerosmith members to some nice bar. So I would say some nicer bars rather than too noisy nightclub.

Sorry u can not come to Aerosmith show.... Girl of summer tour is pretty cool!!! I end up going 3 shows.... haha. Are there anyone else coming to Aerosmith show?

Yup. 20 minutes from philly...

 

Georgetown is the club scene.All kinds of bars on M st and Wisconsin Ave. ( 10 minutes from MCI by cab) I've lived here 33 years. You must go to the Air and Space museum and see the flick "To Fly". It is 26 minutes of film that you will never forget. I'd be willing to meet Friday night. Right now it is 38 and raining.

 

Plan changed a little bit.... VA part is now cancelled.
I fly on Dulles airport on 20th. and leave there on 22nd.

Dulles Airport is about 25 miles outside DC in Northern Virginia.. I suggest a lunch meeting somewhere in Virginia such as Arlington or Alexandria, which are close to DC. It would be easier to pick a place where all the Z owners could meet & park. Finding a restaurant in DC with parking will be tough..

What kind of food do you like? I have 10+ years working in DC restaurants, and thus know the city well...

 

I work as a systems admin at Dulles Airport for an air shipping company and the Marriot is a stones throw away. We should meet where there is a large enough parking lot considering Xmas shopping. landmark.I am willing to go anywhere. There is an Outback in Vienna in a Giant grocery store parking lot.Anybody have another suggestion?Do we want to have lunch 12:00 Saturday somewhere and have a Z meet with Tako?

 

Well, I should have wheels put back on my car by this weekend, so I can make it. Just name the place.
