S “Street” Tune: Recommended for the street. Items are warrantee by Nissan.

R “Race” Tune: Recommended for racing. Items are not warrantee by Nissan.

DavidV has it correct-----there is the difference---

the problem is neither of them is warrateed by nissian b/c everytime you have to take the car in for warrenty work they always want you to put it back to OEM stock. The Rims are S-Tune but you can't get the alignment until you return it to stock. It is just some f-ed up **** with them....if you have NISMO if it is on the car or off they should fix it if you have a warrenty or it is a manufacture defect....sorry had to rant

Not exactly true about NISMO wheels and alignment service bulletins.

R tune is better performance...given you are in track or track-like conditions. Here in VA, there aren't many roads that are in track like condition. That's why they have the S tune.
