Does anyone know a shop that can do this in the MD/VA/DC area? Cost? How long does it take? Thanks.

what exactley are you looking to get ported and polished? there are a few shops in the area that may be able to do what you need, just depends what needs to be done exactley

i know of a few machine shops in the area....the one's in bold are the shops i would recommend, i have heard and have friends who have dealt with them in the past....just a few recommendations, i would take a look at all the shops listed and see the abilities and facilities, i would also talk with them and see what they can do for you, and what they have done in the past, hope this helps!

the only thing lek is gonna get ported and polished is his 'shift' **** at happy ending in china town...lool...

 

** UPDATE ** I wasn't satisfied with quotes from other shops... I've contacted SGPRacing by email and waiting for a response. I might just swap out the engine for one of their rebuilt racing motors.

i actually did some snooping around myself...i stopped by dons precision heads in woodbridge va. i talked to him before i stopped by....man that guy is full of information...i mean i talk alot but....man we must have talked for 2 hrs while i was there till we actually went to look at when i brought him lol...good guy though, hope everything works out for you...i tryed contacting SGP never had any luck....most likely im going to buy another VQ35DE and build it in my garage....i dont think i will use the one thats in there now....ill most likely sell it off to someone who needs it to do the same thing...

man good luck with sgp, i called them once or twice and they told me they were going to call me back.....i never got a phone call back....till this day....but there good guys and know what there doing, just impossible to get a hold of. Thats the problem with shops now a days, its so hard to get a hold of the people that work there...but best of luck, let me know if you do anything with them, and when u get it, because id love to take a look at it...

I had my Intake and Exhause Manifold Ported and Polished on my Volvo, Makes Great gains on a Turbo Engine, NA might not show that much improvement.

I'll definitely let you see it first! Btw my friend has a TT supra ..white... with the works...man! its beautiful. He's been modding and selling supras for years. I think he's owned over 10 of them.
