Annapolis MD, Whats it like?
Hey i recently got a job offer to move to annapolis mD, and i hear its a great town. For anyone that lives there, could you give me some input on what kind of town it is? I'm 24, and hoping there are a decent amout of ladies around haha. Thanks..
It is a great town, a friend of mine lives there, yeah there is a sweet downtown scene and a decent set of bars, but expect to compete with Midshipmen the whole time (that is mainly who the girls are looking at) so unless you are in the service you are at a slgith disadvantage. It isn't too far from DC, where I live, and that has obviously a good scene. I would definitely recomend looking hard into Annapolis, I enjoy my time out there anytime I go.
Yea i hear its a great town, lots of fun bars, i'm used to partying in philly and downtown manayunk so i was hoping it would be something like that. I hear its a very nice area. I'm not to worried about the midshipmen hah, i probably look like one, i'm 6'4''. I'm going to go visit the area and get a hotel for a night to see if i like it, but with all the good things i've heard about the area, i wanted to see if anyone here could give me further advise.

I've been working in Annapolis for almost a year now and live in Alexandria, VA. Nice place. Lots of women. Kind of expensive for being where it is located. I haven't made the move yet but for other reasons. It's a fast growing place too!
The women are looking for those Navy men but the power of the Z grows strong!

Grew up there, kind of a snotty town, and most of the chicks there r nothing to write home about. Move to B-more(Canton or Fed Hill), much more to do(and cheaper), and I think half the population is from NJ/PA anyway.

So many jealous punks down there.
Agreed on Glen Dirty. I grew up there. It still s*cks!
Annapolis is great, tho. Thriving indie rock scene (Jimmie's Chicken Shack are homies, and Good Charlotte (who obviously aren't indy--shudder) played all the time at Acme on Main Street before they got stupid and huge), many cool bars & restaurants (check out Tsunami and Metropolitan/Lemongrass--very hip). I don't agree the girls are looking for Middies. The crowd I hang with is pretty artsy, and my two best pals own hair salons (seperate ones, interestingly), and the girls who work for them are hottt!
If you're looking for a pretty girl or a good time, I guarantee you'll find them in 'Naptown . . .
