I did change my exhaust, but Tony said that should be fine. I was thinking about putting on the K&N Typhoon, to which Tony said adding an intake would be ok too, but I can wait on that if I need to.

I'm not familiar with the K&N Typhoon intake, but the intake will be fine as long as its not the long tube type CAI. The intake should also be shrouded from the hot air of the engine compartment.

If you have any doubts as to either of these conditions, just use the stock setup for testing.

Me and Alberto installed the MREV plus tonight at his house. 2 things I feel need to be said to make this install alittle better. Tony, after installing the (copper throttle body heater?) we were left with nothing to plug up the old vacuum hole, so Alberto rigged up a plastic pin wrapped in teflon tape to jam in there to keep the idle steady. I think you should include a rubber plug um some sort to plug that vaccum line up with. I now have to run around and find something permanent to shove in there. 2nd, when we tried to bolt the throttle body back up to the plenum, the screws BARELY fit. They still arent in far enough in my opinion. I think you should include longer replacement screws that will thread all the way in properly, me and Bert were only able to get them to thread in about (2 threads), kinda scared us.

But with that aside, the torque increase in exremely noticable. The car broke lose in 1st with me AND Alberto in it. At first we went to install the Coolant control valve, but found out that its only offered as an accessory for $50.00 on the site, was kinda upset by that, was under the impression that it was included in the MREV plus package. Hoping to have the car dyno'd this Saturday. As the Z sits now, its got Injen true dual, JWT pop charger, Megan Test pipes and the MREV plus package (spacer/ lower plenum) Hopefully it will put down some good numbers. But Tony, please look into what I listed above, was really frusterating tonight. Ill keep everyone updated.

There shouldn't be any kind of vacuum hole at all... Where did you find a vacuum hole? If you are referring to the plenum tubing where where engine coolant is no longer flowing through it, it does not have any vacuum associated with it and doesn't need capping. That tube does not go through to the vacuum side of the plenum. It only flows hot coolant through it for heat transfer into the metal and nothing else.

Also, the coolant control valve (CCV) is not part of the Copper Iso Thermal Kit. When you have the copper, the CCV would only be redundant.

The CCV is simply a lower cost alternative to the Copper that should only be used in warm climates like So Cal.

Your kit came with everything needed for a complete and comprehensive install.

BTW when you are diving to the dyno shop, be sure to run the engine WOT to redline a couple times so the ECU can figure out and adjust to the new operating conditions.

EDIT: The TB screws have been long enough for the installs that I have done, but I have also found that Nissan doesn't always use the exact same parts, screws, harnesses, hoses, etc on each car. I will look into longer screws for the TB though. Thanks for the feedback!!!

Tony

Yea, I realized that I left a hose hanging behind the plenum, it was dark so i couldnt see it lol But yea the MREV is definitely doing its job! Great mod, great guy to deal with. Bert installed the MREV on my bro's car in about an hour I think. Went really fast 2nd time. Good luck bro, I along with alot of others will be at AAM on saturday. Cya
