I so wish I had a rollcage in my car....

 

give http://www.pipermotorsports.com/ a call.. all you need is a good roll bar (dont need a full cage, just a half cage is good).

 

Mitch/John took one look and said he did not think it was possible. BUT my top was stuck in the closed position. SO, I will bring it back to him now that is fixed and we will see if it will be possible to secure the bar in the rear with a removable setup. The theory is that with the top up, there would be more space to secure it to something.

We will see in a few months I guess.

sounds good and it's good to know.. is their phone number still the same? I havent talked to Mitch since last year about getting a cage done for my E30. I added another event in July for Mid-Ohio.

 

Thanks for posting all of this up. I am looking for a rollbar for my car as well.

 

I am going to get piper to finish my half cage some time later this year.. but it will depend on the funds..

 

xenonk, what BMW chapter is hosting the Saturday 15 - Autox @ Bowie Stadium (BMW club)? NCC is having theirs on Saturday the 8th at Bowie. I plan on going to that one.

 

well about a month ago it was listed as the 15th, but I updated just now to reflect the 8th.

Thanks for the list! I am just starting out, so I've only got my schedule done up until the end of May. I'll post my schedule up later. So far plans are for 6 AutoX events and 3 HPDE days...and my car still has temp tags .

 

it's ok, when I had my car for the first 30 days, I:

-autocrossed 3 events, of which 2 of them were under the 1000 mile mark
-tracked the car at Summit Point and added 120 miles to the odometer
-daily drove the car and racked up 3000 miles
-installed Zeal V6 Coilovers direct from Japan
-installed Cusco Vacanza Front and Rear Sway Bars direct from Japan
-installed Pleasure Racing Service Custom Racing Grill direct from Japan
-tinted my windows
-corner balanced and aligned the car
-swapped out brake pads for Endless SS-M street pads
-decaled the hell out of the car based on my sponsors
-added misc. parts such as upgraded bulbs, shift ****, pedal covers, etc.

 

Here's what I got planned for April and May. It's pretty ambitious for a rookie, and hopefully I'll attend them all.

No, I didn't get into the NASA event that just past. I'm sure it was maxed out.

Hmmm, about the April 8th event, I don't see any word of cancellation on their website. It would have been a relief though because I'm flying in from Vegas that morning, and I'm going to be scrabbling to get from the airport, to home, then to Bowie. It'll be close.

 

^ oops, my mistake, they cancelled the 8th annual autox school.. the autox on the 8th by BMW is still on.
