don't back out from 20". My car is daily driver also. 35 or 30 profile are the same price. They will not make any different in term of performance. You will regret later if you're getting 19" now. Join our 20" club.

here is my 20"

compare to the old 19" set

GET 20"..hehe

IMO, 20" and up don't belong on any kind of sports car. They belong on big-bodys, luxury and trucks. 19's would be the biggest I would go.

BTW Bubble, I think the bottom pic looks MUCH better.

You may want to check what many Exotic's are spec'd for. I.E Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, etc.

No, didn't mean exotics... meant sports cars. I know them "big dogs" have some big-*** wheels on them.

Most exotics are sports cars, aren't they? The term "exotic" refers to the price $$$

Those wheels look awesome on your Z, Bubble and Driven1!!! That is precisely what I don't want to do is lower my Z it is already low enough. So all those pic's are of Z's with 20's and they are not lowered, they look awesome and that is what I am going for. Maybe I will have to rethink it, thanks to Bubble and Driven1, haha.

all of those pix are 20" and they are not dropping yet. Get the new Axis Matrix with 4 1/2" lip in the rear from DTD. You will love it. Don't listen for the negative feedback on people that tell you stuff about not going to 20". They don't use 20" yet so they don't have the first hand experience. I have 18" stock and uprade to 19" then upgrade to 20" so i know.

LOL Dude, it's called ENGLISH 101.. Sign up at your local community college...WOW!!

Unless you are FI, 20" rims will slow you down. You are adding more weight to your car. Unless you are just going for show, then by all means go for it!

Driven1, your name is Rob right? Your wheels are NASTY, they go good with your kit.

I've seen 18's, 19's and 20's on a whole bunch of different Z's. 20's just don't look right to me. That's just me though. It has nothing to do with "if I ever had them" or whatever, I just don't really feel it. Just like you don't feel 18's or 19's. But I guaruntee you and others who are rolling on 20's and up have lost performance compared to 18's or 19's. Different strokes, that's pretty much what it's all about.

what kind of performance are we talking about? how many of you push your car ALL THE TIME? Does that mean a guy 200lbs in his 18" wheel has better performance than people with 20" wheel?

Think about it... what size tires can you fit on your 20's without rubbing? I know you can fit 315's on the LMGT4's. Also, wheels are unsprung weight. Dropping unsprung weight feels GREAT! You can notice the difference in the way your car handles and accelerates.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not hating on your wheels or anyone else with 20+. Just not my style and not performance oriented.

285 and 305 for the rear with no rubbing if you don't drop too much.

20's

IMO...unless you street race or track your car, 20's are just as good as 19's for "daily driving". The sidewall is not that much different 35/30 so you will still have the same chances of damage between the two. In fact if you hit ANY big pothole, you will f'up your wheels regardless if it's 18,19,20,etc. I've had my wheels for some time now & I've known more people with 18's & 19's that drive on the same roads bend their wheels but maybe I'm just lucky. Sure you may slightly reduce your acceleration due to additional weight & rotational mass but you're talking about less than seconds here which is irrelevant for daily driving. So you get to the grocery store a couple of seconds faster, who cares? Now if you track your car where time is a definite factor, then yes I wouldn't recommend 20's since more rubber & less rotational mass is key in that type of event. I will personally switch my wheels to 18's if I was in that situation. As far as 20's not belonging on sports cars...Like for ANY size wheels, it's all about execution. You have to pick the right wheel "style" that best matches the car & one that YOU will be happy with.

Hot Cu, go for what you like whether it's 18's, 19's, 20's, etc since you will be the one ultimately paying for it & using the wheels. If you settle for something that you truely don't like, you may regret it later on. Good luck & Happy Modding!
