I spun out tonight...
So...I'm on my way home tonight and as I'm travelling from Bel Air to Fallston (for those familiar with the area) I got through all the twisties and emerged in the "open" area close to Rt. 152.
Here I hit a huge puddle and the rear end broke loose and I, of course, countersteer, but I guess it wasn't enough based on the space available.
Those folks who know me understand that I have nearly bald rears and, trust me, noone knows this more than me. As such given the weather, I was driving cautiously. But it didn't matter. I didn't countersteer enough and I ended up hitting my driver's rear on a semi-curved curb and ended up on a patch of grass adjacent thereto.
Everything seemed ok and as I approached my house I noticed the tire psi gauge heading south. By the time I reached my garage, it hit 0psi.
Hopefully the tire is the extent of my problems...
Be careful!

I live in Forest Hill, these curbs are not as bad as the squared off one's in Baltimore County. Hope that tire is the extent of the problems for you. Did the car drive straight afterwords?

Doh! That sucks. Yeah, lets hope its just the tire. What kind of damage do you have on your rims? Well, could have been 10x worse dude. Now running around in bald tires...dunno about that dawg..you one lucky guy!

I had a similar thing happen to me once on 32 goin over an overpass. I was lucky enought to save it though (and I was in traffic). Scared the crap out of me as well as the people who were driving near me. Sorry to hear about your luck. Hope nothing serious is wrong and glad to hear you are ok.

Damn rob, I had something similar happen on 100 about 3 weeks ago.. I was driving in the rain and on the phone not paying attention. I have drag radials that are 265s, no good in the rain, I was going about 65 and wasn't even thinking about it. I must have hit a patch of water on the road because all of a sudden the back end started kicking out. Before I knew it I was going about fifty mph sliding backwards down the highway, yelling oh s h i t into the phone! I ended up doing a 360 and sitting in the grassy median, I didn't hit anything but my heart was beating in my FACE! I sat there for about 5 mins and just breathing heavy lol. I finished my hour drive at about 35 mph.
Glad you're alright bro, but F those wheels... New ones on the way =)
