June 16th weekend Theater Opening of Tokyo Drift

Alright, I know I will get chewed up for this with you hardcore guys… but has anyone been approached or thought to approach one of the local theaters to show off some cars on the opening of Tokyo Drift?

Just curious, because at the last couple of car shows people have been going around asking guys if they would show off their cars at the opening weekend of the show in Boston, Harrisonburg, Orlando and a few other places.

Just curious if anyone has heard of anything or would be interested. I know a lot of people hate the movie… But it never hurts to get some local coverage and who knows we might even attract a few more modders that are out there hiding in obscurity

While I'm sure there will be some SICK cars in the movie, I'm gonna pass as I assume that most of the folks going to see the show will be fart-can civic owners. I'm 35 and don't want to be the "old guy" at the party, if you know what I mean.

 

hmmm.....the 350z is going to be the main car....and the 240sx....dont forget the 7's.....i have a feeling the price in these cars is going to go up after this movie...i may be down for this...i wanna see the movie anyways...

im looking forward to the battle of the imports vs. domestics :-D

The last two movies that came out, there was an odd increase in car jackings... hmmm... i wonder whyyyy...

Oh yeah, and didn't a few kids try to go under trucks too? I think there were 4-5 incidents of that reported on the news.

 

I rather watch Pixar's CARS before I see this F&F movie, the first one was terrible enough, the 2nd one made me realize that movie makers really make a lot of drama about nothing, and this 3rd one is going to have all these kids think that drifting is easy because stunt drivers can do it, so can they. My teaching career of high performance driving just got harder.. damn brainwashing.

 

LOL......keefe you crack me up...but I agree...tons of genious' will be trying to take their cars sideways....losing control is not drifting....but as I said.....i'd rather goto hooters!!!!
