wanted to know if there's anything going public in the MD area (Silver Spring / Rockville)... i would love to meet up with you other 350Z owners in the area... i've seen some '05 ZRs creep around my area. just remember, if you see a young shaved head asian cruisin', that's me... i do give my props to every driver out there. thumbs up!

There is pretty much one every week. Just keep looking on here man, you'll see them. There's quite a few of us in the area.

 

I have been to a local 350Z meet (drag racing, autocross, get together) every weekend since March. All were promoted here.

 

Of course you could just meet everyone at Rockville after 10pm on Friday/Saturday. I've just never seen any 350z's up there since I got mine so I don't stop by anymore. However, I did go up there one time and guys were doing doughnuts in the parking lot and the police/security didn't care??????


Then last week I was driving by going somewhere else when this guy in a S4 pulls up next to me and rev's his engine. I didn't do anything for awhile, but then I said, "Oh why not." I hit it in third, he hit it in whatever gear he was in and took of flying down the street. I was like Uhh, mental note, don't mess with car's that pull out of that place on the weekends. lol

But uh, yeah. Mostly Evo's and WRX's and Cobra's and Viper's and Porche's and... wait, why don't more 350's show up there? lol

And yes, I have seen all those cars stop by Rockville and hang out at some point.

Then there was also the Megameet down in Woodbridge which would have been this weekend. But I went to the first one this year and it was HUGE. There were people in an upper parking area that was NOT ok'ed with the police. Last I heard they lost their license to use the area and now are no longer allowed to hold the megameets.

I thought the Rockville meets has been hot the last several months? Cops tend to shut it down right at or around 11pm when Barnes/Starbucks closes. Either way that place isn't the same anymore since the first F&F came out and @ssholes started coming there and doing stupid shiet.

 

No, I drive by all the time. As long as you don't do anything the cops won't bother them. It's when people start doing crap that the cops interfere. Besides, that starbucks stays open till like twelve or something, I think everyone bums in and out of there so it won't be considered loitering.

 

Okay, where exactly is this starbucks in maryland meet? I have been on this site for more than a month and I don't see something for every weekend. I haven't been lucky enough to be around on the weekends that there was something.

 

The last month or two most of us have been busy with the shows and what-not. But other than that the local MD guys and some of the Nova guys met up just about every weekend or close there too it.

 

It's not really a meet per say. Just a buch of people that get together every friday and saturday after 10pm at rockville pike. Different car groups (evo's, wrx's, etc.) tend to park around each other.

It's at the Giant parking lot at the intersection of rockville pike and randolph road.

Hmmm, maybe one day I'll be bold enough to actually stop by again. I feel so shamed by my near stock car. lol

Then again, some of those cars are less than uh, well lets just leave it at that. lol

I think the last time I hung out there the funniest thing was this guy that was driving around blaring the original Super Mario brothers music. Or the guys that are quick to yell out "fart can" if your muffler is too loud.

You must be talking about the lot behind Timpanos Restaurant. I came out from dinner in my 1 day old Z about a month ago and saw the gathering. Some of the cars were less than ..ugh... but there were some nice ones as well.
