iso thermal doesn't really depend on where you live. it is an upgrade to the
basic spacer that has components to help manage heat transfer between
the upper and lower plenums as i understand it. if you go to the main page
of Motordyne Engineering there is a good write-up there....

It is a great product I noticed a slight gain but have yet to dyno. The ISO thermal items help reduce heat transfer to the plenum keeping the air intake cool which equals greater gains. Only problem I encountered was rubbing issues with my strut bar and the hood, their spacers do not work for everyone. I did some small and easy modifications to the spacers included and got it to work perfectly. Great mod for the money. I also hear they have the MREV+ for our 03-05 engines which adds even more gains but I don't know much about it so I cant say if its worth the extra $ or not.

Well which sound are you referring to? If you mean from the spacer then no but in regards to other components as far as intake and exhaust then yes. I have an Injen CAI and dual exhaust and once I installed the spacer I noticed my exhaust note was louder and my intake made a whistle suction noise, nothing major but louder then before. Hope that helps

how come a lot of people say not to over tighten the bolts after installing the spacer?

b/c some plastic looking spacers come with the kit that go inside of the plenum and through the bolts that go on top, over-tightening will cause them to crack and break. Also due to the plenum being aluminum over-tightening will screw up the thread. I did tighten mine a little more then what was in the instructions though.

they are very easy to snap off, when you put a plenum on always use an inch pound torque wrench.never ever use a foot pound torque wrench.

since you are only interested in being louder, get the cats and a loud, annoying exhaust. you already have the popcharger so that will make it louder in cabin too.

don't know that any exhaust systems come with cats. as far as cats you
can keep the stock ones or go with high flow cats or test pipes. depends
on the sound you want and if you have emmissions to worry about.
