Its alot to go NA. Not for the feint of heart. Thats why alot of people just slap on a turbo/SC/NOS and call it a day. The actual highes is probably the guy from Aussie, but he has a fully built engine, and some pretty aggressive cams. A good tune is a must. Aussie dynos are different than ours so its not confirmed, but just considering what he has, without a doubt hes highest NA. Not to mention his car sounds sick at 8k rpm!

296whp on a higher reading dyno-not a dynojet. Highest dynojet, legit claim has been 280whp 270ft/lbs, all bolt-ons, headers and JWT cams-all on stock ECU...

Mine dynoed stock on a Mustang dyno at 239 whp, temp was around 75F.

I'm not sure if the Mustang dynos embellish the hp or not.

In everything I saw in my search for a more aggressive car, FI is the only way you can truly get the most bang for your buck. Although it's expensive as ****, getting a turbo/supercharger system is the fastest way to a more powerful system. NOS is by far a cheaper solution for a one shot, one kill, power surge, but it's not there every day. Trying to get to 300whp on bolt-ons alone is just too difficult without a huge expense. If your going to pour that much money into your car, then you might as well take the plunge and get a FI system...

As always, just my $.02...

The thing about going FI (as I have heard numerous times) is you never know how long your engine is going to last. Even at conservative settings you can get engine failure. I plan on having my roadie for a while ... 260 - 265 hp at the wheels is plenty of power for me. Also going FI will definitely void my extended 6 years 90,000 mile warranty.

Simple bolt ons can make a dealership refuse to work on your car, not just FI.

Jebus, I thought they dynoed about 220 stock on Mustang dynos! At least that's what I recall from looking thru threads last year.

I find extended warranties to be a waste of money. Always have, especially after selling new and used cars. Most of extended warranty money goes right into the finance managers pocket and hardly anything ever comes out of it. Keep your money and never short change your baby. it will last you for a long time.

There is always the Stillen for a good safe FI option. Yea you dont get the tunability, but its pretty damn safe, and decent hp gains. Not to mention it sounds wicked as hell!

I want to stay N/A just because it hasn't been done much (especially not in the Mid A, and I have to say we have some of the most wicked cars IMHO), and because I want the reliability of a daily driver. I also agree with the extended warrenty nonsense. Keep you money, and just build your ride up the right way the first time.

As for the Chick meet, nah, not many more showed up that day. Just the usual import crowd later at night. Didn't go this weekend cause of the rain. Maybe next weeked, if its nice out we can hang out and talk about your plans for your baby.

I agree that extended warranties usually are a waste of money, but I couldn't pass it up with the deal I got through carmax. I bought it $3k under KBB value. So after tax, tags, and the 6 year, 90,000 mile extended warranty I still got it @ $500 under KBB.

I'll definitely be @ chick-a this friday ... if the weather's not sh!tie
