Went on a drive with a group from the Viper club today. Drive was about an hour, and ended at a car show in Fredericksburg. Fun times. A few other cars showed up, including a Z06, a Ferrari 308, a Lotus Elise, an AC Cobra, and...a Ford GT!

This cruise was pretty informal. We actually had a pair of Camaros who came with us. They were buddies of the guy who organized the event.
All very nice people. The guy who owns the GT was probably about 65 or 70. He didn't push it too hard, but he had fun with it. He found the car at a dealership, but the dealership didn't want to sell it after repeated offers to buy it. He told them "fine, name a price". Thinking they'd just make up a number that was completely unreasonable to him, they said "alright, $200K". He took the offer and bought the car.
That's the story as I heard it anyway....
