I just did and the damage is $298 and change. Not as bad as I thought it would be but I can think of much better uses for $300.

What's funny is that they assessed my 03 Touring to be worth $21,175 and the statement said that before tax relief, my tax bill would have been $808. Ouch, thank goodness for Jim Gilmore (and boo to Mark Warner and the VA state legislature who did away with the complete phase out of the car tax).

 

Please don't get me started on this retarded tax lol. Anyway, interested in seeing what others have paid and if it's all pretty much consistent.

 

VA has the strictest laws I swear. Car tax is uber lame.

 

I guess I'll be paying this sometime after I retire from the Navy. Luckily I've avoided this since I'm a FL resident.

Yeah I bought my Z last May and just got the bill. And you want to know what sucks also, I have had to pay two bills so far. One bill was for 8 months and this one was for 12 months. I should have made the dealership pay for the one for 8 months since I technically owned the car for only 5 months.

The damage for this year's bill is $569, ouch! VA sucks so much and can't wait to move somewhere else. Luckily September is a 3 paycheck month since the bill is due October 5th.
