unfortunately it is too late, when AAM reflashed my ecu they removed the speed limiter and raised the rev limiter to 7100. I'll have to be careful to keep at or below 6600. It should only be hard on the 1-2 shift. Even on the street when spinning and going sideways on the 1-2 shift it has gone past 6600 but at that point there is no load since i've either let off the gas or have the clutch pushed in.

I suggest when you go back you have them reflash that back to stock, even quick 1st gear spins to 7100rpm's is bad-trust me, I honestly believe it's what led my TN/stock block set-up to blow.

Alberto- my kit is the same one vortech sells but I have a waste gate in line to allow me to run a larger pulley. Basically I have a 11lb pulley with the waste gate at 9lbs. The advantage is my tq numbers are higher at smaller rpms. ie 267tq at 3000rpm with a max of 330tq at 5000rpm. Its just something to try and get my heavier g of the line a little better. Now I need to improve my launch.

bigslim350z I have a set of 550 injectors I will be selling after this weekend if your interested.

Thanks for the invite but I have a commitment a Cecil County Dragway on Sunday. I went to Import vs Domestic Day last you and had a blast. I ran hybrid modified but did not make the bump. Still, after I ran regular eliminations. With qualification rounds and eliminations, I think I was there from 10 till 11 at night: it was a long but fun day. Here are a couple of photos.

i only got one run in today cause it was so busy and even then, i staged too far and while i was backing up the tree lit up and i had to pop it in first and launch with mad wheel hop. >_<!! so frustrating that i could only get that crappy run in for $40. oh well, managed a 14.2 @ 99

Sorry about the bad news. Most likely the tree was on auto-start: both cars stage and the first light is 1.0 seconds later.

I assume that this was the first round of eliminations?

there were lots of nice cars out there and i was surprsied how fast some of the imports were running, even the ones that were naturally aspirated. i was really shocked by the 7.7 run at 195 mph from the eagle talon.

I thought i would see more Z's there, i think i only saw 2 when I watched time trials. oh well, maybe next year.

I haft to say I didn't do so well either! My first and only run was a 13.01 @ 112.37. And my 60' times are laughable. I thought I would get several passes threw out the day and left 32psi in the tires the first run. And when the car launched the tires spun threw first. I let of the gas when I should of put the clutch back in causing the rpm’s to drop to much. My mistake. So I dropped tire pressure and waited all day for them to call my group again. Then when I was watching the school girls they called my group and of course I didn't hear that. So I missed out on trying to beat my first time. What a day.. Well there is always next year. lol

Most 350Z drivers will stay away from this type of competition because it appears too complicated. On the other hand, the only way to learn about class racing, a pro tree and the NHRA ladder is to just do it. Besides on Import vs Domestic Day, MIR has always allowed those who do not qualify to jump in the middle of eliminations. That means a minimum of 3 runs:

2 runs to qualify
At least one round of eliminations.
