Dyno'd the Viper this weekend
Don't have my printout yet. Should be getting it via email in the next day or two. It was a great day on Sunday. Mid-50's and sunny and we had about 8 Vipers show up along with a handful of NSX's.
My car pulled 425 WHP and 466 ft-lbs of torque average on 3 pulls. About what I was expecting.
Here's a few pics of the day:

I got a video of my pull. It's around 50 Mb, and it's nothing too exciting to watch, but you can download it if you want:

ETA: The thing I love about this car (you can see it in that graph) is that I'm over 400 ft-lbs of torque at 2400 RPM, and I usually shift around 5700. That's a nice flat torque curve within the power band. A little head work, a different cam, and some roller-rockers in the valve train and this car would be in the low/mid-500's. Still debating on whether or not to do it though, as this is a pretty rare car (1 of 89 yellow ACR's in '01) so I'm not sure how far I want to take it.

That makes me think that my dyno is about right given that the exhaust and hi-flow cat mods are "worth" more in terms of gain on a Viper than we see in the Z community. I'm probably around 430-440 WHP, all said and done, but 425/466 is what is says on the sheet and I'll take it.

edit-tried posting the dyno graph didnt work....

Still very impressive though, that doesnt take anything away from the awesomeness (<----is that a word?) of a nearly stock dyno with #'s like that. As far as adding a cam/valvetrain mods for more power? ---> OF COURSE!!!!

That is great Kelly... GOBS of power on the low end up to your shift point.. Can't complain about that.
As for adding more stuff... I would say no. Stick with what you have. That is plenty of power and the more work you do to it the more likely you are to head into the same problems as before with work not up to your standards or needing adjustments all the time.
Appreciate her for what she is, a mean @ZZ snake with plenty of bite.
Just my $.02 of course

Running a little lean in the midrange (esp that 1 run), and a tad rich up top. Piggyback will surely help, and some timing increase will likely get you even more low-mid range TQ...

are better with that feather touch.. I like to be able to apply power liberally, but without being reckless. A Viper, just requires too much patience & tiptoeing for me, It's like a girlfriend having PMS… LOLAsian Bar girls are more my type..
I like mine to: look good on my arm, (so you can take home to Mom or out to a business dinner); be easy to turn on (or off depending on whether I want to go out and have fun or not); and has the drive of a mustang (at home or on the road).

Us older guys huh...I'll remind you who the elder is between the two of us pal (and I'll give you a hint, he owns a Z
).You're right, the Viper requires a very sensitive right foot. There is a thread on the Viper forums right now about how so many people think the Viper is a poor handling "straight line" car, but in handling and skid pad tests, it regularly ranks near the top. I think the key is that a good set of tires, a gentle foot, and alot of practice are necessary to get the most out of the car.
