Question. Was driving my car pretty hard and running through the gears. All was well. Stopped for gas. Then when pulling out noticed a whining sound like the transmission was winding up? Then on the road noticed the car was missing gears. shift to second and car feels like its still in first or jumps to third. also noticed before that the the transmission was jumpy while in gear. But the main thing is the winding up sound as i pull off in first.

any ideas? this is on an AT in manual mode. in regular automatic mode same thing happens. car jumps gears.

 

Bad torque converter? Sounds like you need to drop it off at the dealer and let those rats fix it.

 

Let the warranty do the work for you ... don't know what else to say.

 

let the dealership make some money for warranty by checking it out
do not say anything about driving it hard though
