Default need some help for my Z

I just got my 350z about a month ago. I am 18 living in Maryland and got a 2004 black 350z Touring. It had 40095 miles on it and got it for 23000. good deal or not, it's not the point.

I am not really that much of a racer, i got the car more for the looks and the way it sounds, also cuz the girls like it :-). I'm goin more the the Show look than perfomance modifications.

anyone got any ideas wat i should do?

Get any brand rim besides Volks (every1 has them), any bodykit besides Nismo (everyone has this one too), cant go wrong with Tinting it, you're also not allowed to have the same spoiler as another mid-a member within a 200 mile radius. Audio is always great to have if you're not looking into weight reduction or performance.

You also might want to look into doing some suspension mods to lower the car. The Hotchkis spring/sway bar kit would suffice for your application but I highly suggest you get an entry level spring/shock combo like the Tein Basics or the Nismo Suspension. Keep in mind if you lower it past 0.7 inches, you might want to look into getting a front & rear camber kit.

If you're going for looks, please save up a good amount of cash for a real authentic bodykit.

Even though there's a myth that chicks dig this car, I highly suggest keeping it on the down low especially if you're 18. With this "girls wet their panties checking out my car" mentality, most drivers would generally want to impress their passengers and end up in a ditch or into a wall (not saying that you are, but I've seen too many accounts of this lately). Just be careful and have fun! Welcome to the Mid-A!

You ignored my replies in your other threads. I see no point in posting.

The ideas are endless and in the end it comes down to what you like and your own personal style. I have my Z set up for show and I love it, but there are many other Z's that I REALLY like as well and could probably name around 10+ in this region alone.

Look around. Because of the number of us who have already tried different things, different looks, and different set-ups you have to be able to find something here that suits your taste. If you can't, there is seriously something wrong.

If you need tint, stereo, or wheels PM me. But Im not the only one in the region who has guys that do great work. Dave and the guys at Function:Tuned have a GREAT thing going on as well. You're in the right area. My suggestion to you (depending on budget) would be to look around and make a list of the things you like (i.e. cosmetics, sound, and performance as your categories) The reason I say this is, many people have a difficult time comprehending the cost of building a true show vehicle or even modding a Z. The car is affordable, but mods aren't so much. "You're not driving a civic anymore Dorothy"

Cool man I just got an 04 touring with 7028 miles for 24880. I've had mine for about a week also. I havent posted any new threads yet because I'm searching as much as possible first to find my answers. I decided to make mine look good first then go for perfoemance. I've tinted my windows with 15% all around and planning on getting the stillin type one spoiler soon. I order black front bumper lights and going to get black rims in the summer. As far as a body kit theres way to many out there and will take some time to decide what I want. I have a nitrous kit already I was going to put on my maxima but it will be going on the Z instead just need to find someone to install it. I'd say look around at other members cars and see what you like and dont like and make dicisions fron that.

im thinkin about by this summer ill have 10k saved up, is that enough to make my Z a nice show car or would i need more?...no point in puttin rims or body kit now durin the winter, it might snow so might as well keep it cool and save up.

I seriously need tips and pics of Z's, there is this one Z i really loved from a guy on Facebook. BodyKit,Tint(i had to get removed cuz i got pulled over),Rims and Spoiler is a must. Wat else shud i do, i painted the calipers Red, would painted the engine covers and etc help?

not lookin for a turbo but maybe a nice exhaust and intake to have the car sound meaner, more deeper.

do u guys have an idea of wat im trying to do? im not really into buyin a TT and addin all these performance mods, also cuz it is costly and a person like me at 18 shouldnt be worrying about that, im more chill, i like to go fast but with the speed it has now is enough.

any recommended bodykits? i like the one from the toky drift, the asian dude. I also like the nismo spoiler. anyone have better opinions. please post links of pics so i may review.

10G will get you a very nice Z and quite a few mods, but if your going to compete seriously on the show circuits I recommend saving quite a bit more. Personally, at your age with rather limited funds (which is understandable) I would build to what you like and not necessarily go for "show". I encourage people who want to show, to attend regardless and show off your car (thats the fun right?). But 10G's will not even get you close to the calibre of cars that win trophies, and many become frustrated and disappointed b/c of that. I have nearly 3x as much into my car and I wouldn't consider myself to be near the top vehicles. I win trophies here and there but that's just the way it goes, build to what you like, and attend for fun.

Man, you gotta look around, there is SOOOOOO much stuff on here. There are whole picture threads deticated to specific colors, body kits, wheels, etc. Use the search function before everyone starts flaming you.
