Yea, if it rains I will have to call out.. My Lotus tires are scary in the rain (they really needed replacing last month), I lose traction with any heavy gas or any major turn....
I will have to make a call tomorrow morning.

Hmmm... 70% chance for rain doesn't look good. Maybe next weekend would be better??? 10% chance / sunny with a high of 46. Maybe next weekend???
I'm dyin' to get some time behind the wheel given all the downtime this Fall, but don't want to push it if mother nature isn't going to play nice.
Thoughts?

We meet at the Fair Oaks Mall at 10am
please have your cars gased up by then,(even I didnt last time)
you need 10 bucks for the Park Fee, credit is accepted
we head out at 10:30am.
Enter the Park gates at 11:30ish.
One hour of massive turns
Hour to get back to the Fairfax Area.
We should/can be back just after lunch...2pm ball park.
There will plenty of time to exercise you vehicles and heel toe techniques, no need to get tickets going or coming, but you are all adults, do as you wish. I will be running 5mph over until the speed changes from 55mph to 65mph, then I will be running 8-10 over. The first exit to the park off I66 is Exit #13, make a left at the bottom of that exit, then turn right at the next T intersection which is about a half mile down, you speeders can wait for us old farts there if our cruising speed is too slow at one of the gas stations.
Notes:
I66 is the worst State Trooper Road in VA in my opinion. 8 over gets you a ticket when your ride sticks out. I run 60mph with the crusie set.
The restauraunts are closed in the park, please pack something or eat a ton prior to going. Last time I packed a bunch of apples, orangers and granola bars, but didnt find time to communicate that to the group for some quick eats.(too excited on the drive). I will be happy to pick something up for you all, PM me and I will grap it. {No dough, no love, I will eat it later or at work next week..lol }
The park is 10 bucks per car to enter, they do however accept plastic.
Directions to Fair Oaks Mall are I66 West from the I495beltway, exit onto Route 50 West, take first exit (ramp going up). Sears is just after the first stop sign, prior to the stop light.
Please PM if more info is needed. SIAMESE has his car now , but I am deffinitely going on Saturday January 13th....temp 65!

As of 635am it is not raining at the Park, Not raining in Manassas, light showers in Centerville, not raining in Bethesad, Reston, DC, but raining in south Alexandria.
THE TOTAL RAING FALL FOR TODAY IS ONLY A 1/4 OF AN INCH, so like I stated earlier, it will sprinkle here and there, but nothing major. OBVIOUSLY if things are dangerous we will stop or cancell. Im going to catch another hours of sleep then check things at 8am!
From I495 take I66 West.....look for Route 50/FairOaks Mall.
We are meeting at the Sears, but near the otter loop of the road.
You cant miss the cars.. 703-....... is my mobile.
Keep your fingers crossed. Looks like we have a decent group...Dont forget your digital cameras for the scenic views of the mountain.

Thanks to all that showed up. Yet another one for the books. This ride is so addictive, I could do it every weekend. My wife would leave my azz, but its just that good of a drive. I am headed to PA to do some skiing (hopefully....its so warm out, who knows). We have plenty of Awesome pics and videos to rub in everyones face that didnt show up because they didnt want to get their panites wet...lol.
My shout outs go to the M3, C5 and G's that made this run possible! BG44K rocks!

Great drive everyone. It feels good to get some time behind the wheel again. Thanks to Corey for putting this together on short notice, and for leading the pack through a more "intense" pace...
