BTW ... does anyone know how much the whole kit weighs? I estimated 50 lbs and Fedex Ground from West Palm to a Fedex store near me would only be $23.

Flying down would be last resort, but if you can get him to still check it out then I'll wait. I just thought things fell through with your friend checking out the kit. Thats why I decided to maybe go this route.

Do what I did *especially with items over 1k*, pay via credit card over paypal and tell him you want 1 day overnight shipping. Pay the same day and if he doesn't give you a tracking number by the end of the night or if you don't see anything at your doorstep the next morning: call your credit card company and cancel regardless of what excuse he gives. Keep it canceled until he's ready to ship or use www.escrow.com. You are only allowed to draw $500 out of paypal per day anyways, so it's totally safe if you use your credit card.

 

Great Idea ... I'll probably lean that route. It doesn't neccessarily have to be overnight but I definitely would want a tracking# within the next day. I still would like someone to check it out though before he ships.

On a side note; I still have to convince the SO that this purchase was the greatest thing to happen since sliced bread. uh ... not only does it boost hp but .... it makes prada and versaci hand bags

 

Karl, you know you can't make that right?
Gate closes like 10 - 15 minutes prior to take off... That gives you 30 mins... from the time you step off the plane till you have to be back on. You have to exit security to meet this guy, then go back through security and get back to the gate.
The odds are, you would never make the return flight, even at a small airport.

LOL I know man ... I didn't really read the details of the flight times until after I posted it . That's some BS though that they had the nerve to sell a ticket that would virtually be impossible to make the return flight on. Bastards!!

 

He lives in West Palm, but the guy you're buying it from lives in Wellington, which is little drive from West Palm. My buddy (Josh)is a student athlete at PBA, so his days are kinda full. He was planning on this weekend since he's free and has the time drive out there. He's called the guy and will try again since he got no answer, the first time. He said he'll check it out this weekend if the guy is available, but he hasn't heard from him yet and will try calling him again. Did you tell him to be expecting a call?

If you're worried about stealing the deal, offer him a little deposit and my buddy will check it out this weekend.

 

Actually I'm going to give him (Jordan the seller) a call right now. I told him he should be expectin a call. That's sounds kinda fishy since he said no one tried calling him. I'll let you know.

I just tried calling the # and his voicemail picked up right away. I left a voicemail.

Awesome clip! ... I've never been the one to flake out but going fi is now going to have to wait. It's a combination of me helping some family members out financially and me and suzie getting engaged. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices. I definitely cringed when Robbie said the S/C kit was legit. I had already put the money towards more important things. Family is always a priority. I think you guys can all agree.
