I saw a few Z's and G's while I was there. Got a pic of 2 of them a supercharged gray Z and a red 06. I think I got a video of one of the supercharged Z's runs too. Was it anybody here? I was in the green 98 maxima. I'll taking my Z next week and cant wait. I got to practice lauching during the week.

Not as good as I wanted but the car was way more consistant than last year. I had a dieing knock sensor all last year and didnt know it but i replaced it over the winter. 15.1 was my best for the day. Couldnt seem to avoid the water box so my tires spinned ever time I launched and my 60 foots werent good. But I'll be installing somethings in the next few weeks that will put my max in the 13's hehe .

the supercharged silver Z would be me. i fried my (stock) clutch when I tried to really launch hard, but my previous runs that day resulted in a best of 13.12 at 111 mph with a 2.28 60' time (weaksauce launch, bogged the engine)

I'll probably be out until the beginning of April when I get a clutch upgrade. Now that I practiced slipping the clutch and preloading the drive train I can get better times next month. (I got a 1.90something 60' when I slipped the clutch and launched at 3000 unfortunately the clutch just slipped after 1st gear so I couldn't finish the run) So the potential is out there.

omg i'm soooo embarrassed. I was hoping you would get one of my last ones where i did a 2nd gear burnout and actually heated up the tires and had a faster launch. oh well, I'll have more runs eventually. can't wait to see the vids. Do you know who drove the red Z? I matched up against him one run but he went a 35 sec quarter mile or something. (wasn't sure what happened there)

low 13's isn't bad, but once I get my launching technique down i'm hoping for around 12.6 or so. at 111 mph trap speeds and the power I have, low 12's should be attainable. my friend does 107 mph and she runs 12.40's or so.I just have to learn how to launch better.
hopefully we have a columbia meet soon and i'll ask for some advice. other than that, with a jwt clutch, hopefully that one won't burn up while racing.

I had a passenger because we were sitting in the staging lanes and /or moving up in line and it was too cold for my friend to stand outside. So, we were chilling in the car. (is Freak) the driver of the Red 350Z at the track that day?
