Default Another Function Tuned Success Story

I'm finally finding the time to sit down and thank Dave and Juan at Function Tuned for their work done on my Z. They installed and tuned my Z with a turbonetics single turbo kit and UTEC system. Also, thanks to Nowell for giving me a nice package deal for his used kit, accessories, and exhaust. To my knowledge, I'm the kit's third owner and it's still running strong. From what I hear, most of that is due to the fact that you guys switched to a twin set-up fairly quickly, feeling the need for even more power after getting a taste of it. It's probably pretty safe to say that it will be on my car for a fair amount of time. I love the torque and power it produces. It's just enough for me... for now.

As a testimate to the tune Dave gave me.... the weekend after it's completion, I won a nice cash prize bracket race at the local drag strip. My car is a 5at, and Dave gave me a very consistant and reliable tune. On a side note, I unexpectedly ran out of gas on the way home that night though However, I got on the phone with Dave and he walked me through a few things to check and I was able to get the gas gauge working properly again and have had no problems since. That's another example of Dave's knowledge and communication with his customers. I even received a call from him a day after I got back to check on the car's performance on the way home and during the next day... which was fantastic.

Anyways, thanks again to Function Tuned. I recommend them to anyone in the area and even those that aren't. I traveled 5 hours each visit and it was well worth it. Their knowledge and professionalism far exceeds any other experiences I've had with shops/tuners. And most importantly, they really went the extra mile to take their time, check everything, and treated my car as if it were their own.

A few pictures:

Yeh, he told me it was yours and that you didn't have it real long either before going TT!

I think the final numbers were pretty much the norm for 5at's, maybe Dave or Juan can correct me if I'm wrong... but I think they were around 375hp 365tq at 7lbs? I know that's something important that I should know, but keep in mind that when I was up there having it tuned with UTEC, I treated the trip as a short vacation with a friend and wasn't in the sharpest state of mind as my FRIEND drove it home !!!!

Nope... just 1/8 mile strips around here. The closest 1/4 is actually Bristol, but I haven't gone there since the install. I REALLY need some track radials or some new tires on the volks with a camber kit because I had MAJOR traction issues that night. That will definately be my next investment.

Holy ****... 375rwhp at 7lbs? When I finally decide to get FI I'm hoping to push atleast 350hp with a ST. If I could get 375, that would be awesome (I have 5at)
