Default Pence Nissan Body Work?

I got rear ended a week or two ago and a friend of mine recommended Pence Nissan to me as a good place to get my car repaired. The girl who hit me is having her insurance cover it so price isn't much of an issue. I was just wondering if any of you had any experience with Pence Nissan in Midlothian and their paint/body work. I probably will need a new rear bumper and possibly rear 1/4 panels, and obviously paint.

Also, if you would recommend any body shops in the Richmond area over Pence let me know. I haven't heard of any outside the NoVa and NN areas that are known for their work.

I used to own a 240SX (black) which I took to them to get the roof painted (@sshole kids throwing rocks from an overpass on I-64, caught them btw). The paint job was okay, but a month or so later the top began to fade. I had just taken it to the beach so I wasn't sure if it was caused by that or Pence doing a crappy job of sealing it??!

A friend of mine mentioned Harrison Body Works as being a good place. I've got no experience with them except for his recommendation.

Well, it was about 10 years ago, so I'm sure they've got a whole new paint crew by now.

Yeah, my 240 seemed to have a target on it. Loved the car, but it got beat to h*ll by everyone running into me! I'm holding my breath every time I get in close traffic with the Z.

You'll just have to live through the ins. and body shop bs. Then your baby will be back on the road and life will be good again in no time.

The BBB is a good resource on body shops, But keep in mind that all the reviews you read will be bad. No-one ever give a good review to the BBB, because they only call when they're pissed.

I've had bad experince with dealer bodyshops. When I had to have the hood and roof on my accord repainted, the dealer body shop did a bad job that started to oxidize almost immediately.

Look for a good Paint/body shop, and ask around about recommendations. Also, see if the other persons insurance will garuntee the work if you take it to their shop.

I hope this wasn't in the 300...

Coming from the insurance industry in Richmond - I used to be an auto adjuster, I can definitely say that Harrison does some of the best work around here. Work guaranteed for life, consistently good jobs. Personally we have had 2 cars done there, a 745il BMW and a Pathfinder with front end damage. They did flawless work both times.

Bruce's is overrated. They have a good paint shop, but the body work is overrated. A sleeper shop is A Auto Body on Hull Street. They have done some good work for the last few years, but dont get many props. PM me for the down and dirty. I used to deal with them all.

How about Car Toys 2? I know they fixed up Mikes ride when he got backed into, altho, I think they were still working at Fredrick? Might try that, or ping Mike (mdracer76). They also did Ahn's body kit (Lemans N-spec) just recently.

If you wanna come to Raleigh, NC I know of a body shop (Precision Collision) that is completely **** and meticulous about everything they do. Even the stuff that you DON'T see.

Powell's Body shop in Petersburg does pretty good work. I know a few of the guys from there. Not sure how far south you wanted to go though
