Agreed. Most of my fellow law enforcement buddies (police, probaiton, sheriff) agree that the penalities are too stiff and/or not fair since they hit only we of VA. citizenship...

The general excuse for that is that "we" the citizens of VA use the roads far more times over then out of staters and that collecting the fees from out of state people would be far more difficult, so another words they don't have enough lazy people to track down out of state people and collect money that is rightfully due to the state......so we bite the donkey D!CK.

honestly I don't really care for the fact that the out of staters are okay, I just want them to take these RIDICULOUS fees out period. so what if they alter the law and make it so everyone including people who're out of state get the fees, you still gotta $3000 for something as simple as going 20 over ? or $750 for turning without putting your signal on ?

There is a guy from the Navy whom is suenig the state of Virginia
over the fees he facing, he was pulled over doing 20 miles over the limit.
I wonder how that will fare, he lives in Arlington,VA. I hope the bastage wins!
