Default Chop Shop???

Does anyone know how long it takes to strip a car? The reason I ask is because lastnight between the hours of 2am-6am my girl's civic was stolen, chopped (complete interior, hood, fenders, engine, trans), and the remains abandoned in the middle of a side road.... all within 4 hours. This sucks but I am quite amazed at how quick it all went down.... also if anyone happens to hear about any civic Si parts turning up (it was blue as far as hood and fenders are concerned) please PM me and let me know.....

4 hours seems preety damn fast for all that, but they could have had a bunch of people working on it and i'm sure by now they have a good system down for getting it done fast. I walked outside my apartment complex the other morning to find my friends roomate's civic si lying on the pavement with no stock wheels

That sucks to hear bro! A friend of mine had his civic hatch stolen from the apartments near me, another buddy had his Integra stolen and his roomates accord was broken into and they attempted to hot wire it but failed. Another friend just had all of his gauges, and stereo equipment stolen from his Prelude. I have also heard of multiple other Hondas in the area turning up missing on other forums.

Harford County is having a Honda/theft crisis no doubt about it.

be sure to check Craigslist, and mdstreetscene.com

A lady I knew had her bumpers/hood stolen.... er.. should I say "swapped" out with 2 diff colored bumpers and a diff colored hood. Her factory si rims also got stolen and replaced with Civic stockers. There was a $100 slipped into her windshield the next morning. They were nice thieves!

However I know a few people in this "business," all you need is a plasma cutter and you can chop a whole car up in about 2hrs.

I'm sorry... but if I knew people in the "business" I'd get them shut the **** down. No respect for car thieves or the people who support them, here.

I own a junkyard and my guys can tear down a car in less then 40min. Motor, trans, body parts, whatever taken off the car, then it takes about 10seconds for the crusher to crush the car into sheet metal

They did get shut down.. by the police! and for the guy I knew that used to help them out, he stopped associating himself with them as well

Its allot easier to take things apart, than to put them back together.
