You are #7 at Atco Raceway for points in Real Street correct? It will be exciting to see you run.

 

Spectator? You may as well get your feet wet sometime, and this is a good opportunity. This is laid back no-pressure racing. It will be difficult to watch others run when you have a perfectly good car.

 

Is this open to any Z or Just 350s? I may come up if this and may be able to bring some other Zs if this is open.

What Z are you diving? I started with an old '82 280ZX Turbo (stock) back in high school and would love to see one show up and run.


IMO all cars are welcome, but the more Zs (of any year) the better!!!

Z will be in the shop for body work. I get my front bumper this week, and my sides and rear come in next week and will be at the shop.

Bad timing eh? lol

 

Todd-do me a favor and see if we can run N/T (no time) @ the track. Worst case scenario I'll just spin down the track on street tires if I cant figure out this issue.

 

yeah, good idea. I think I'll do the same thing. I'm running street tires and would rather not have people see my slow times.

 

What fun is that Would we pick and choose who's times are showed or dont show any of the times. Im confused ??

i would say don't show anyone's times. just let them race and see who gets to finish first. if they want to show off their time slips, then they can do that?

 

Thats fine, but unless your beating someone by car lengths... You wont be able to see who crossed the line first.

You never seen people do this at Test and Tune? If I had it on my window they wouldnt show my time on the board or give my 1/2 of the slip to the other racer...I'll likely do this till Igetthe car dialed in. RIghtnow its 50/50 on if IM evenrunning it, I have too much totake care ofthisweekto be dealing with this crap...EBC took a dump (no high boost), PCV valve is busted (cracked at bottom) spilling oil onto exhaust manifold, I gotta rebuild my axles, swap slicks, try different front tires, always something...

 

yeah, crapitol does the same thing. put "N/T" on your window and only you gets to see what your car does.

Most likely the track will have minimum manning: one person in the timing tower. Auto-start will be ON. We may have to help with staging for new racers, and the time slips.

I certainly would like the see times and a WIN light on the board. That's half the fun.

Yea, after 6 events (Columbus, OH was a couple weekends ago) I'm in 6th place in the class. There's 7 events this year, Bowling Green in Oct 4-7th. I have a shot at moving up to 5th for the season if I go a couple rounds and the current 5th place guy doesn't.

I'm trying to work on my launch, it's a fine line between spinning and hooking with this thing - I've spun leaving as low as 4800 and hooked leaving at 5700. Hopefully I'll have my new front suspension installed by then, because that's killing my launch right now. Everyone in the class is doing wheelies, and I'm barely pulling the tires. Need better weight transfer
