INSTALL IT YOURSELF!!!

I would say for an unexperienced tuner... maybe 4-5 days tops as long as you have a lift.

I have access to a lift on a military base, or i can recommend u to a friend mechanic with a lift at home.. he most likely will install it for no more than 1500

let me know!

It will be that much just for the kit, then add a good exhaust, downpipes, clutch/fw, guages, engine management, tuning, and your way over that. Then add the bill after you blow it to pieces

Not taking anything away from anybody, but I would have a shop like Ftuned do the work that way if something goes wrong you have a good shop to back up there work.

+1, there are so many other costs taht go into it other than the price of the turbo kit alone.

I forgot labor which is a HUGE cost, most shops charge $2000-3000 for TT installs, then add the other stuff I mentioned

when i said 5-6k that was just for the kit itself...i have left plenty in the budget for upgraded tune, clutch and already have true duals on the way along with gauges turbo timer and boost controller....if your gonna do it do it right the first time.....

If that's the case (do it right the first time), then I'd recommend you build the motor now... If you're stuck on stock block, then I'd look at a supercharger setup as opposed to a turbo kit.

As far as the GReddy vs. TN debate - GReddy hands down.

does anyone have a parts list on everything that is needed that does not come with the greddy kit? I have a few things now. I have an 8:.1 bottom end, stillen tru dual, jwt clutch and flywheel, aam oil pan spacer, aam oil line kit, aam tb spacer, greddy catch can, and aam plenum spacer. thats what I have so far. I have been searching around to make sure I get the correct stuff. I want to do it right the frist time.

Your goals will dictate exactly what will be needed. But I would start with getting rid of all that aam stuff.

in my opinion, you need a 3" true dual, 3" downpipes, EMS of some sort, guages, fuel return (highly recommend the FT .5 fuel return, more than enough for up to 600 wheel), wideband. Maybe open dumps if thats your pleasure, does net you more hp, but not for everyone.

Thats what I come up with right now looking at what you have and what you would need. Im sure there is more im missing.

Upgraded Koyo Radiator, Nismo Thermostat, Nismo Power Steering Cooler (if you plan on hardcore tracking) and last but not least... upgraded OIL COOLER (ask DaveFunction2nd for a custom built Earl's oil cooler, it's off the hook!)

Dont use the AAM oil pan spacer, get the APS Oil Pan.

Stillen exhaust for a built motor = blah

That clutch wont hold 500+whp, so good luck with that

Why such low compression? Thats the lowest Ive seen anybody run in a Z...what EMS are you running? Injectors? Fuel System? Boost controller? Guages? What you doing for traction? Cooling?

I wouldn't say hands down. I am a Turbonetics turbo owner and have had nothing but great experiences with my kit aside from some detonation that was fixed with t he purchase of an E-Manage Ultimate.

I never had any other problems and the car was reliable enough to drive daily (I have another car though).

In addition, I believe that TN now sells the kit with the Unichip Q. If this is true, it is a more complete kit than the Greddy since TN also includes larger injectors whereas Gredddy utilises the stock injectors and the E-Manage Blue (which is not competent at all)

So I wouldn't say Greddy hands down but for this guy's particular situation, considering he is willing to shell-out so much and build the bottom-end, yes, Greddy would be the appropriate choice.

I was told that it was good for 600whp. I have the stock heads so I am going for I would say 450whp on pump and about 550 on race.

I was thinking the utec. The motor was built by kyle @ import parts pro. Thats what he recomended.

As far as the rest I am still tring to research.
What exhaust would you guys recomend. Anyone need a stillen...lol
