Arrow EGT temps?...

just installed some new goodies to the Z,one of which is a pyrometer...what are the average temps you guys run at....mine seems to stay around 850-1000 while driving normal and get real hot 1250 or more when i realy get on it.
My performance mods are k&n typoon intake, kinetix ssv intake manifold, obx exhaust and test pipes.
Also...i will be installing a zex nitrous kit this weekend...what temps should i look to stay in...basically whats good and whats not???

I don't know of anyone using an EGT gauge with a nitrous setup. I'm pretty sure you're not going to find your answer in this regional forum, but I'm not even sure you'd find your answer in the nitrous forum either. IMO, the best source of info for all things nitrous is Jeremy of Performance Factory. Whenever I have a specific question I can't find the answer to I send him a PM. His screen name is Audible Mayhem.

I see 1470 Fahrenheit when I go through 1 to 4 to redline. Many factors play into egt first being sensor placement.

Those are normal EGT's. If you were seeing EGT's of 1500+ then there could be two potential issues. Too little timing or too lean. You are in the correct range. For future reference though you get the MOST accurate readings when the sensor is placed much closer to the exhaust port, literally in the stream of the first or second cylinder.
