Not only do people miss it, people get lost! I'll have to makeup a list of "cruising rules" especially since it will be in the afternoon and traffic will be mild. But with us weaving in and out of traffic, it's going to be pretty hard to keep up especially if you're slow and can't shift like Alberto. So after 8 yrs. of being a hardcore ricer, here are a few things everyone should keep in mind:

General Rules of Thumb:

1. * Bring a 2-way Walkie Talkie - Channel: 4, sub-channel: 0 (until further notice)

2. Do NOT tail gate (ppl tend to rhomp on their brakes quite often esp from 100 down to 45mph when cops r spotted!)

3. If someone gets pulled over: Everyone else RUN (if backup is suspected, split the hell up!) Oh yes.. and if they ask who you're with... you don't know ANYONE. You were driving down the highway and by pure coincedence... there just happens to be a buncha ricers who drive the same car as you on the same highway at the exact same time. Bonus: Complain how much they were pissing you off and how you're SO not associated with ricers.

4. Merging into Traffic: if you manage to merge in first, be courteous and let others behind you merge in front in order to keep the pack together.

5. Balance Skill Level: Let the more skilled drivers pass you otherwise we end up losing half a group from 1 slow-poke who holds everyone up.

6. Emergency Lane: Keeping a large pack together could serve to be quite difficult: These lanes are here for a reason, don't be afraid to use em!

7. Lane Change in Traffic: Like Bruce Lee said, "Be Like Water," smooth and gentle lane changing lets others know what you're trying to do and it also doesn't freak out the guy you're cutting off. And for the love of god, please use turn signals! Fast/Rough lane changing is as n00b as it is dangerous + pisses drivers off. They end up NOT letting anyone else through and body blocking the rest of the group.

8. Last but not least... KNOW UR LIMITS! Just because the guy in front of you did it... DOESN'T mean you can too!

Dave - we need to coordinate a cruise route so everyone knows the general direction/roads so no one gets lost like last time.

* if you do not have one... BUY 1 ASAP! This will save your LIFE! Please try to purchase the more expensive models; lower ones tend to generate a large amount of static/interferance + you will lose rice points and I will have to unFunctionTUNE you

+1 i think this is where we lose the most people...keep an eye on your rear view if you see people cant get through and its not super difficult try and figure out a way to get them up with you

also we should try not to have a super huge group all together its difficult to keep everyone together even following ricer conventions. maybe split into 2 groups depending on how many want to cruise

i think the biggest problem with people gettin lost is that once people start speeding and weaving in and out of traffic. some people get caught behind a line of traffic thats going slow while the others continue and create a larger distance between them. like on saturday, i was near the back of the group and i couldnt even see anyone that i knew were at the front.

i also had my walkie-talkies on saturday but didnt use them cuz i heard no one mentioning using them. so I dont know if you all used them or not but I wasnt aware

heres another rule as well since i know it has happened at a few meets and happened to me at the last one
9. If you're planning on leaving during the cruise, stay in the very back so that others dont follow you.

I would let the directions be given out at the meet. We are not the only ones who read these boards..... Feel me?

If they get lost...use a cell phone....lol.
