LOL thanks. yea it was meant as a joke. I suppose if I sold my other toys, and backed out on the house purchase I could get an R8, just really can't see the point

Besides when we start adding up the money in our mods/work/etc on our Z's im sure alot of us are over 120k, right Brent?

GL with your career also!

Besides cars like that aren't hard to afford, its the service plan that is the expensive part.

In our 30's?!!! Speak for yourself there George.

BITE ME.... I just saw a Mas vert (like the one I was going to buy) while I was having the Lotus detailed. YES I could have a pretty nice car if I had spent my Z money more wisely on a stock exotic. Mine is climbing towards a decent Lambo/Ferrari about now..

That's nothing, rumor has it that NitrouZ has spent well over 120k on his car excluding the Z itself, which was a 35th anniv edition probably costing around 36k.

I think Brent is well over that. We tried adding it up one day and gave up at over 180k I think.

I understand your comments about there being wealthy owners on this site who can truly afford something like the R8 or even a Ferrari for that matter (if they really wanted to). But the skepticism is quick to jump up because we get A LOT of bs'ers on this site just as much as we get honest, wealthy people who truly do own a nice car.

Not to light another fire here, but in the last month alone we had way too many cases of people trying to pass off cars they don't own as their own. And some people trying to claim ownership of cars that they drive, but don't own. Here are just some examples I could dig up.

https://my350z.com/forum/the-lounge-off-topic/290290-why-do-people-lie-about-cars-they-own-on-the-internet.html

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=295340&page=8

https://my350z.com/forum/other-vehicles/295336-goodbye-to-an-old-friend-hello-new-love.html

In all three cases the supposed "owner" was called out, and in all three did he never return again to justify his actions, proving that he was trying to play us all along. The first one is still a great read though.

^ Your point? This thread was a joke. It was posted in the Mid-A and not in another section because we know Nowell and know he's full of poo.

Tony (leave it to outsiders to blow **** out of proportion)

^^

+1. The whole thing is out of proportion, but he's probably trying to justify why people like DesiZ jumped quickly on this thread.

Divergent13 has had his own problems with being too trigger happy in calling BS and has been owned for it, I thought by now he would have learned his lesson, but at the same time he is right in all three of those cases.

Exactly why most of us got a laugh out of it, while other trolls popped in to with their bird dropping comments... Oh well. Good attempt at humor that got spun completely off track by mindless n00bs and outsiders. Mid-A FTMFW.

heh, yup! So since this is off topic, when's the beast getting finished? We need to get together before the weather goes south. Drink, bbq, and discuss winter plans.

She's almost done (for now). I'll have it on the road for a bit, then it's back under the knife for the turbo install. I've had more set backs than I can count, but she's getting there Long story short, I ended up building two blocks (big reason for the delays), and am STILL waiting on PowerLab to finalize intercooler piping and A/C lines for the G, as well as the SARD twin pump fuel system... If everything works out, then I'll be boosted this fall and will be tuned via the Haltech (although Dave has my interest in the Autronic unit too...). She's also going to be getting some body and interior work done this winter.

This weekend is out for me, but September should be a good month for BBQ, beers, and bullsh!t sessions out on the deck...
