Default Request for some Jersey members

So, I have a very strange request, at least by my standards, for someone. I have been interested in a Z for many years but I have been in school and havent been able to buy one. I am graduating from college with my MBA in May and I am starting the process of finding what car I want. I think that I have reduced my decision down to 2 cars. One being the 350z and one being the Supra. I have gone through the pros and cons of each over and over and am still at a 50/50 standstill. My request is that if I start coming to a few of the meets in and near Jersey for the next few months, would it be possible for someone to take me for a ride in a built and boosted Z? If I am out of line, I apologize. Thanks

I doubt many of us in this region frequent Jersey but Im sure if you come to a Mid-A meet sometime there will be more than one willing memeber to give you a ride in their boosted Z.

Good luck with your search, just remember the Supras are older so the inteior and amenities won't be quite as nice as the Z unless you dump more $ into it. Also, the cars are quite different to drive as well. Not to mention finding a good one that hasn't been convertd or wrecked so you can atleast hold some residual value.

Be practical: buy a Z
If you have deep pockets: buy a Supra

However, I'm not too sure on how well Supras handle, that could be questionable.

Yup, that has all been going through my head. I actually have a list of the pro's and con's of a supra vs a Z.
My two biggest, a supra is a supra and it will hold its value tremendously, but it is ten years old and will have close to if not over 100k on it. A Z is newer, has all of the features I want and it will be lower miles, but its not boosted.

You will pay more for the Supra anyway. Consider trying to find a single or twin set up, the price alone will cost almost more than a new Z. Then add up what your going to spend to fix it up the way you want it. Now we could have had a new(er) Z with twins on it, and happily boosting 400 to the wheels, without even being built.

If your ever in the area, or when I get back up to Jersey (my brother lives in Marlton) ill be more than willing to offer up a ride. Make some calls to Function TUNED and have Dave price you out a build, or do some Q/A with him. They also have a supra in the shop. I'm sure he can give alot more advice

if you like driving a boat, buy a supra. it's a highway car.

if you want a good handler that is fast, buy a Z. I don't have a built Z, but I do have a Z. we have meets every other Sunday in south jersey you are moer than welcome to come to and I'll give you a ride.

also, I know a guy in jersey selling a really nice mostly stock dark Red 6mt Supra TT in great condition for 28k.
