Want to hear somebodies sub setup
What's up everybody. I'm looking to do some audio here in the next month, and really would like to hear what you've got set up. I would kill for a 12, but I'm not having much luck, because the only box I want is the Zenclosure. I am looking for deep bass, because I listen to mostly rap. I am hearing that I can get that bass from a single or dual 10 set up.
Sooo it's my first day off in about 2 weeks, and would like to hear some systems to sway my decisions!

Malikot told me about some custom audio work he's done. He's got a pioneer 10" mounted behind the drivers seat. Haven't seen it yet myself, but from what he told me, its awesome.
I will put my JL W6 comp against any system....two or three tens...two 12's whatever...If you buy nice shizzil you dont have to buy in quantity. I have my amp (extreme old school Phoenix Gold) and crossover set all the way down and its still hits stupid hard. Swing on by man, to check it out. I395/Seminary West.

+1 i would go after sound quality vs loudness in a car like the Z its such a small car that putting a ton of bass in it will just give you a headache! I have a single image dynamics 10 running around 350 watts and its the cleanest hitting sub i have owned. pair that with a good set of component speakers up front and you're good to go.

Yeah with 1500 watts RMS setting behind a comp 10...you get quality all right....lol! You have to love those old school PGold amps...those thing kick out a ton of heat, but also reliable at 1/4 ohms!

haha yea id imagine man...altho you have a seat between you and the sub...that setup in a Z would be SO loud!
Well I plan on doing components and powering them, and then I want to do a sub. Well, I will do all of it at the same time haha. I want quality definitely. It has to sound good loud, because I only drive with my windows down haha.

How about a JL 10in W7. That beats better than a W6 and is clearer. It will cost you a little bit more but the thing sounds like 2 12's. It is what a lot of people on the site have. Get the right amp to power it though. JL 500/1! Good Luck with the listening sessions though.

I just got a ZEnclosure and is da $hiat, Mike is hella cool and his service is top notch. I just finished my setup two days ago and it sound sick as hell and I only got a 10”. But is no ordinary 10”, is a mini “jackhammer”. I strongly recommend it.
Is a JBL P1024 and it only cost me $180.00.

i got a zenclosure with 2 12"phonix gold radial sd subs in it with a alpine v12 1000 watt powering it and it rocks so hard i gotta keep the sub output turned down on my headunit to -9!!! the only draw back is it broke my rearview mirror off and the space it takes up thats why i might sell it and do a smaller eclosure with a single 12.
