The point of my post was to show that 350z's with bolt ons can oviously hang with other really fast cars,so i guess the srt-4's ,and the evos i beat are slow,or just have a bad driver, that it has nothing to do with a 350 being fast....but no i guess i got the wrong car cause all you guys think is that sti is dog slow, cuz theres no way a z can hang,ok,i thought i bought a 300hp sports car .

The 350z is a quick car wich offers great all around performance. It handles great and by no means a slouch in the straight line. The problem with it is that if you are NA and want to race in a straight line it will either beat the other cars or lose. Yes it will beat a mild bolt on srt4, mustang gt, boxster s, m3 maybe an evo which i doubt unless ure racing from 90mph roll where the awd starts to suck The evo and the sti have turbo's and react very well to mods and can push 400whp with no problems on simple bolt on's like TBE, boost controller, intercooler, header, bov and some other minor things which makes them much faster then an NA 350z. Obviously a good driver has a lot to do with it. And then you have all the other cars like the c5 c6 corvette,03 04 07 cobra, viper, and etc which you will need to go FI in order to beat or even keep up. So here is my advice, take your 350z to a roadcourse and then see whats up cause the z im sorry is just not a straight line car. Its a great all around car

After several days, I think I see your point: Some STis are faster than some 350Zs, and some 350Zs are faster than some STis.

The cars that you mentioned run 13 to 14 seconds. As a inexperienced racer, I don't think you realise how long 1 second is at the finish line. Its an eternity.

I would be interested in seeing a 14.4 second ET with a 105 MPH trap. Please scan and post. Thanks.

Awesome video-STI took off in between 2 and 1 seconds on that countdown-early hit + AWD advantage what did you think would happen?

I lol'd... BOV... Takes more than that to get to 400AWHP (BOV being the WRONG mod).

I wish I was still there... I'd run the STi. His modded time is slower than my stock time. I bet you look at his dyno and that insane torque drops like a brick half way through... that's why he (and STi's in general) don't do good from rolls. Small turbo+plenty of displacement for a 4 banger=no tq up top. The car has 12's in it (not sure about the driver). Hell, my Evo has 11's in it, but the driver hasn't had a chance.

just said bov because every sti and evo seem to cant live without them as their first things even though it really doesnt matter till ure pushing high boost. I just still dont understand why it has such a high wtq numbers. You sure you dont have the whp and wtq messed up?

with a small turbo and a big engine 400 trq is believable. I just dont see how he got 13.3 seconds at 101 with 400 torque. Hell i got 101 trap speed with 230whp and 230 torque.

I'm still on the stock BOV, and don't need an aftermarket one until I either have a bigger turbo or until I'm pushing 28-30psi on the stocker. That's for them ricer kine that just got their first boosted car and want to make cool noises.

STi's make excellent torque because of the displacement coupled with the small turbo.

Oh, when he ran the 1/4, he said he only had intake and exhaust. Which the intake with no tune is a no-go for Subys.

This is why I stay away from this forum
you guys really need to chillllll
One thing I can clearly see from the Z board is that many people are ultra defensive
Sti beat the Z and that was the end of the video. You don't have to start taking sides and try to put down the STi saying things like "...oh, that looks weak" I mean, race is a race and +1 point for the STi. I used to have one and I loved it.

But we all know it's not how you race your car, but how you talk about it and guess about what it would run that counts huh?
