Hey guys, one of my friends with a supra told me about a meet they are putting together at Rockwood Park. It's in June, I'll let you know how it goes and if all is well, maybe we can try there? I like their plan to charge flat rate to cover food/drinks.

that would be good, doesn't seem like its too expensive to reserve since they are charging $5 per person for food and shelter and there are only like 10 of them haha

My schedule is so up in the air right now its driving me crazy, but I should know soon what its going to be for sure. Most likely you won't see me for June/July/August.

I hear you Pratt, but I'm not so sure about Memorial day weekend anymore. We have close friends moving into their first house that weekend and as far as I know, no one is helping them. If it stays that way I'll be headed down to give them a hand.

We have 5 weekends in May, what about the 24th? It's short notice, well sort of, that's almost a month's notice. I can check and see what the availability is of the pavilion.

 

I could do the 24th. Man, my calendar for May is pwned by anything Z! The weekend of the 11th is the Skyline Drive cruise, and the following weekend is ZDAYZ , then the next could be this meet!

 

I wish it were that way! I have 2 months of training that I will be in Champaign, IL and either Blacksburg, VA or Greensboro, NC, I don't know yet which one, or exact dates. But yeah, once its open I am all about meeting there at the restaurant. We can chill there and then go next door to Longhorn for drinks!

Haha well, sometimes things just don't work out. I know Toby is planning on doing something at his place in August for NOPI when the NOVA guys come stay at his place, that could be good.

May 3rd - Dad's birthday, will be in Maryland
May 9, 10, 11, 12 - Conference in Orlando, FL
May 16 - One of my best friends bachelor party
May 17 - Recover, maybe go to Z show in VA beach
May 23, 24, 25 - Rehearsal Dinner, Wedding, drive back
May 29, 30 - Sister's High school graduation & parties
June 1, 2 - 1 year anniversary, may be out of town
June 8 - tentative leaving for Training, may be delayed a week or two
July - Return, but only for a couple days at a time
August - Hiring people for the store
September - Get ready to open
October - December - Working 60-70 hours per week sellin sammiches so I can live

Soooo there is the rest of my year. As you can see none of my Saturdays are free, some fridays, but almost all Sundays. Maybe I'll have something here at our house for you all before I go just so we can all hang out.

I'm gonna miss you guys, but I have a feeling I will be seeing plenty of you when the store opens hahaha

You probably have the tightest schedule of anyone here, but is that too short of notice for anyone here?

 

I am good for whenever on the weekends, the 18th is the weekend of zdayz in NC and the 17th the show for tidewater but I would do both the show and something in town....that is if its not gonna rain like weekend lately.

 

I think Scott is the only one from RVA going to Zdayz. I was going to go, but can't miss my boy's bachelor party. I'll be in Maryland that night, not sure if I will be back in time for the Tidewater show, but I am going to try.

Sunday the 18th would be good, but we need to start tellin people about it and seein if the pavilion is available that day.


Hey Scott are you going to the College Park meet on Sunday? I thought I saw your name on the list somewhere. I am thinkin about going, car might be going back in for paintwork again though, not sure yet.

That is in Chester, about 20 min from Rockwood, but it's not as busy out there and would be easier to get a cruise going from this park. It's also convenient, right off rt 10 from 95 or 295. I'll call both and get availability status. Either way it's $45 from 9am-2pm or 3pm-8pm or $85 for the entire day.

We could probably get enough people to cover the cost, if you don't mind some non-Z folks joining in.

 

I think the College Park meet was the only one I was NOT signed up for, ha! I'll be pushing heavy rocks all day on the 3rd, so I may not feel like getting out of bed on Sunday.
