I just hope this thread doesn't "disappear" like other numerous AAM threads that didn't paint the prettiest picture for them. I'm not holding my breath.

I've authorized Jason, Willis, Clint, and Frank to do everything necessary to make sure your car becomes 100% at no charge. I also asked them to help out with other problems your car had before you got here (ie. rattles, engine bolts, etc.) at no charge.

I was under the impression you had been taken care of - I am going to hold a meeting with everyone this morning to find out what still needs to be taken care of.

I understand every time you've been at the shop lately our good gestures have been negated by the problems with your car (some our fault through a sub par installation some reciprocal from the vehicles original condition).

I'd hope our honest efforts to take on any of your concerns at no charge mean something. I've always offered to check the tune on your car throughout the process because after any changes (ie. wastegates adjusted, intercooler pipe fixed) I wanted both of us to be confident the engine was running safely. Even when I dropped you off and picked you back up at school I hooked up our test equipment to check out everything during the ride so I could continue to perfect your car.

Please give me a call when you get a chance. I take the utmost pride in what we do here. I would like to arrange for a rental car for you so that we can keep your car overnight without you being inconvenienced and we will make sure any and every concern you have is completely addressed.
Mike,
You do not stand behind your shop...I experienced the very same problem the poster did with the factory tensioner falling off and destroying belts and an expensive tow to your shop...Your shop was the last and only shop to ever touch this tensioner.. In fact your shop last touched it about 400 miles before it fell off...Replacing the blower...This cost me $300.0 (tow + belt+ another install by AAM.) This was not the only bad experience I had with AAM but it is typical. A reputable and customer driven shop would not charge a cent for poor work regardless of the excuse (mechanic).

Understand **** happens at all shops but the shops that stand behind there work are deserving of continued work and free advertizing by satisfied customers..

I had personal experience with AAM and I can voice my opinion. Im sorry if my opinion may have sounded too strong or childish but thats just how I feel about Mike.
When I came over to AAM few months ago I was treated like Im a dumbass who couldnt afford their work and was put off with ridiculous work estimates. Who the hell charges $300 for an exhaust install (including test pipes)?? Not only that the customer service just plain out stank from Mike.

i mean the plenum isnt that bad i know that the motordyne 5/16 is much better but as long as it was installed right you are set to go. i hate to say it but i do have an aam plenum on my car. and if that was uninstalled right then aam should just go out of business cause its extremely easy to install.

***edit**** off topic

This thread isnt about spacers...not trying to be a *****..just to establish professionalism and a way to reslove all the hatred in the MidA.

I have to admit AAM products are pretty nice. Im pretty sure their customer service got a lot better. I personally did not have a great time with Mike's customer service but I will not judge his employee's work. However his wrongs and their rights dont cancel each other out.

What I think he means is: I want to remove my AAM plenum NOT because it doesn't provide gains. I just don't want to support a shop that provides bad customer service.

The shop when given the "tour" is amazing. HUGE facility, now with the extra machining capabilities for blocks, the CNC machine, has TONS of potential, and could be one of the sickest on the east coast with a few good cars repping them, it is unfortunate to have such a "resource" close to us all and nobody has the trust to use them.

That's funny you mentioned that because that would be a valuable asset to a company. I know you rock a Forged sticker amongst a few others in Mid-A; the cool part is they also get along w/ the FT guys and we all hangout. I recall at one of the latest meets, a car rocking the AAM sticker was immediately given the cold shoulder and out-casted. Even though the driver was a cool guy, no one even gave him a chance.

But they didnt provide bad service to him, thus his comments are not needed, helpful, or appreciated.
I am not here to bash anyone. I am here to learn the rules of this forum, get all of us to clean up our acts and comments, and make this a fun place to visit. Its becoming a drag and a waist of my time and your tax dollars (gov employee..lol)

I think that AAM is trying...I think there is some work yet to be done...but we all need to be more professional. I give AAM an A for fighting an uphill battle. The past guys will never recover...so they need to rebuild with a new crew.

Use this for an example (although somewhat extreme)...

Would you rock a VRT part?

Tony (has no prob with AAM parts or some of the people there, but has been around the Mid-A long enough to know the deal)

Well when I had the bad BOV i did mention my stalling problems NUMEROUS times...and nothing ever happened....it wasn't until i got ripped off at another place in NY ($1200 to swap a BOV and NOT put lug nuts on my front wheels before i drove off) that the problem was solved....

basically I gave up on FI because it seems as if everybody just cares about the $....$ i am willing to spend if i get treated right...

Í have personally never had to deal with an AAM employee for more then a simple cash exchange for the plenum spacer. So I cannot judge there customer service from personal experience.... But from this forum theres been thread after thread bashing there operation. And isnt that why were on here so we can generate opinions about things from other peoples experience? All I'm doing is expressing my concern, not bashing. The money i make is important to me (just like everyone else), and i want to spend it wisely and give my business to a shop where i know i will get taking care of.
