Hellz no! We're going back in time, who's with me?
I've been wanting to get into it for a while now, and a slight altercation this weekend gave me a swift kick in the pants I needed to get out there. I have a friend that just picked up a Miata and he's looking to head out there, I was just seeing if there was any autox love out here.

I just emailed the NASA guy, and its $40 to become a member, and you get a lot of benefits (plus discounted entry fees).
I'm probably going to sign up for this year since they will be doing a lot of events around RIC and close by.
First event of the season is Jan 20.

I may just join, though I'd like to make sure I can get into it before spending $80 on my first outing. I'm sure it will be plenty of fun, and I thoroughly expect to kill no less than 3 cones that day
.
I think thats my biggest fear is missing a turn and then trying to figure out where the hell I'm at, lol.

R-comps (sticky, not street legal tires) will help your times, but I think it is better to build up your actual driving skill before you invest in another $1600 for wheels/tires (i may even be way off on that number).
I am no pro by any means, and am still learning, but from what was explained to me was that r-comps will improve your times by a little, but enhancing your skill will improve it a lot more.
Read up on the autox section of this forum, we've got plenty of time before Jan 20 rolls around

I was looking at upgrading the wheels, for both aesthetics and performance. I was looking at the SSR Type-C RS but to use as a multipurpose wheel with street tires. Who knows, I'm sure FI plans will end up on hold in favor of suspension mods...lol
I have hotchkis sways and tein s-techs springs, I want to imrpove handling even more. Would it be more beneficial to do some Gt Spec chassis reinforcement braces or adjustable end-links?
