ill admit, i drive like an a$$hole sometimes but never wreckless,i drive fast but im always in control and havent had a ticket in 8 1/2 years but that record was shattered yesterday morning @ 745am....
I was on my way to work and was merging onto 695 from an on ramp,traffic was thick but i spotted a hole and punched...i was on the highway for no more more then ten seconds and i saw the reds and blues of the state trooper behind me...pulled over,license and regisratation...now im late for work
he comes back with a ticket for 89 in a 55, 3 warnings for wreckless driving and a repair order for my exhaust(cause its been modified which i learned is illegal in md) So basically i got nailed cause i didnt wanna get rear ended.
Just wanted to vent guys....and yes i was speeding but i was not going that fast....oh well ....ill fight it in traffic court.
i guess if he'd a looked back and saw my no2 bottle it coulda been worse right?!

damn, yea i live in towson too, and travel 695 a lot, was he posted or just cruising? state troopers are always out there, u don't have a radar detector?

Whenever someone gets pulled over in Mid-A, it is mandatory to ninja snap a photo of the event! Without the cop noticing of course.

Can you be specific about the exhaust repair citation? That's pretty unusual in Maryland.

How do you know how fast you were going? Surely, while "punching it" and avoiding getting "rear-ended," you didn't look down to check your speed did you? ...good luck fighting that one.

 

Im always around Loch Raven, joppa road and occasionally york road. I always throw a peace sign or give a head nod to other Zs.

 

And yeh david it does happen but you have to get a ***** of a cop to give you one. I got a warning one time for "modified exhaust" because I was missing a gasket but cops usually only give em to you if they have nothin else to pin on you or your exhaust is just obnoxiously (honda-like) loud.

 

rule book for getting pulled over.

#1. always shut the car off if your running test pipes and/or loud exhaust.

#2. always roll down windows if windows are illegally tinted.


I wonder would these acts be protected under the illegal search and siezure law? can they legally force you to incriminate yourself by forcing you to start the car or roll you windows up?

07nismoz i always throw a peace sign when i see other z's around town....david the repair order was for 'modified exhaust', its cool cuz i got that takin care of but still thats a pain in the a$$! i do have a detector but i didnt throw the switch to turn it on so thats my dumba$$ fault! plus he was crusing so i still dont believe he was running radar,i think he was just guesstimating......

 

oh and no comment about spraying pn the highway...thats illegal you know.....

 

All exhaust modifications in MD are deemed illegal, unless it is %100 OEM do not be suprised if and when you get a ticket for one. You can take it to court and once a 50state leagl argument is made the case shall be dismissed.
