I was thinking that too, my company, Lindsay Auto Group has an 05 UY base for 20k, I'll see if I can get it for 17-18K

Best part is only 20k miles!

Yeah but I'm sure my insurance is going to be ridiculously high now though...
It was already 1900 for 6 months if paid in advance

Nice! Glad to hear things worked out for you and you are going to stick with the Z. 05's are a good year, and it sounds like you are getting a good deal.

1900 for 6 months Ouch...

Who do you have now?

When I was under 25, I had Geico. They offer the lowest rates out of most of the big companies. I have All State now; they are higher than Geico, but their customer service is a big step up because you actually have an agent. In addition, they have great incentives like accident forgiveness, good pay discount etc.

05 + TT FTW! You should actually get a 04.5 (they have all the revised stuff) with high mileage and just get a built motor + turbos while you're at it. You can find one for fairly cheap (16k if you know where to look). Therefore, not only will you have a faster car, it'll have zero miles on the motor!

If you don't know where to start shopping for discounted parts (who pays retail these days?), hit me up, I'll help ya out.

How much would it run to get built motor/tt?

Hey man I was in the same boat with you until I got my Z. I ended up paying less for my Zs insurance than my 02 maxima!!!

Anyway I went through state farm and never once had to visit the office. My agent handled all the paperwork then sent it out to me for sigs and now I pay 920 a month for full coverage on my 07 and thats with the life insurance added. She got me into a "steer clear discount" good student discount and some other discount but for a 23 year old I havent found anything better. And the service is top notch since you have an agent like Kmanz said. Ill give you her info if you want it.

920 a month!?!?!?!? Thats rediculous! OMG I was doing the online quote for All State, with 1 accident and it was still cheaper than what I was paying for nationwide now for the 08, like 1500 for 6 months

$920 a month for an 07? Do you own a Viper? LOL, you are gettin ripped a new a$$hole w/ that price. No offense, but try $90 a month.

Built motor + TT (done right): 20k, correct! Bare minimum: 15k

ESK07- Did you try Geico yet? I am betting that they will hook you with the best rate.

$820 for full coverage on my 07 and liability for my 90 Accord through Allstate, and thats also with higher coverages and lower deductibles. I think that if I had just the standard coverage, the insurance for my Z was like $650, or $108/ month. I have 1 ticket.

Rkemp, you'll probably see a big drop in your rates once you hit 25. Its the last thing you have to look forward to except retirement haha
