I will freely admit, you have some sick azz cars in that group (and you strategically pick the cars and the categories so that you don't compete against each other and give yourselves the best chance to win), but I have seen a # of times other cars that were better put together and done by individuals without sponsorships that should have won.

Anyway, the best way to approach the show is to go for fun and not care about the judging cause you won't win anyway... If you do, consider it a pleasant benefit and not an expected outcome.

I'll get into the rant.. I'm pissed that I'll possibly be at work for X-mas.. so I need to vent about something..

Thats why I stopped being judged at HIN. When GoldDigger lost to Minho's Z.. I knew something was fishy. Golddigger had a TT built!!!! motor!!!!, TopsSecret Widebody full custom cage.. etc etc etc.. against a vortech, UNBUILT, bolt in cusco cage, widebody veilside version 2 with just a custom candy paint with no airbrushing.

If you are a judge, and you let the 2nd car win..your either his buddy, or the owner is blowing you.

That is why I enter, but when the judges come around, I tell them that I don't want the car to be judged.

Back to the topic, I've also had my share of interesting contest experiences especially at NOPI this year which also seems to be going down hill and friendship and buttering up of the judges seems to overshadow the car. "Custom" mods seem to give you a lot of points even though they look like crap and don't flow with the car Luckily I was there to just have fun, but I had a few random people come up to me after the show wondering why I didn't get any hardware at all lol

I never understand something. It's cool to have super rare parts. But on the business side, how does a company like Top Secret USA survive? You said you're the ONLY person with the TS exhaust for G35. So lets see... for that one product line, they sold how many? ONE?! Hmmm... I'd shoot myself if I'm the sales rep.

I saw you roll by at the ricer meet in Rockville last weekend when I was with some of the other Z guys. Wanted to see it up close but you just circled and left. You should come out tonight if your not to busy or in the area. Should be there with 5-6 Z's and 2-4 G's around 10ish.

Props BTW, looked sick.

Let's face it... I just dont see how average modified cars can stack up againt those big company sponsored cars...??? Sounds fair huh????
who cares bout them cars with 100TVs stuffed inside winning $10 worthy trophy? big deal..I get most satisfaction when people take out their cell phone camera and take pic of my ride or give me a big thumps up on the street~
