Happy New Years Everyone...this is my first time logging onto a computer in 2008
Hopefully everyones new years was great...as far as resolutions are concerned, actually getting a useful mod put on my car is my number 1, this being stock is getting kinda old, especially in an area with nothing but boosted Z's!

Happy New Year people. Resolution (this may sound corny): Lose weight. I would like to get back down to near my high school football weight (150-160lbs).
Also, I'd like to meet my new brother and sister I just found out I have (21 and 19 respectively).

That is one of mine as well. If you have a good way of building muscle and losing weight at the same time let me know. I'm trying to drop from 260 to 225 but gain more muscle at the same time. (another resolution is to increase bench press by 50 lbs. and hit 450)
Best way to lose weight=running and eating right.
35lbs is a lot considering you want to lose weight AND gain muscle (muscle weighs more than fat). I would suggest LOTS of running and a good food plan.
Eat more often, watch your portions, make sure that if you want to "fill up" on food, you do it with veggies. Cut out the candy and replace with fruit. Drinks LOTS of water and cut out the soda (I'm in the process of weening myself off... I'm in the diet stage right now and I think non-diet Coke tastes nahsty now, which is good). Also, unfortunately, watch the beer/alky intake. I've noticed an improvement after calming down on the beer.
About gaining muscle, I need to learn good ways too. Just going to the gym and benching hasn't done **** for me. It's good to do it with people that know what they're doing. They'll be able to give you the best tips, and will be there while you're actually doing it to give pointers and such.

if you want to try to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, i would consider doing light cardio as in light jogging/walking instead of running/sprinting. DIET is the biggest factor in losing weight, you could easily lose fat just by changing up your diet and keeping your workout routine.
if you want a new workout routine, hit up bodybuilding.com's forums. there are a lot of dumb asses on there but theres also some good knowledge there on diff workout routines
back on topic, my resolutions for the year are to graduate from college, get a good job and start saving money for once
