It takes many runs (AT LEAST 1 solid season of abuse) to get it down "decent" (look at Jon-one solid season he has improved CONSIDERABLY but can still improve, but he's now MUCH better and knows his weaknesses), if you have no plans of tracking chances are its a lost effort. Before the last season, I couldn't get the Z to pull a 13 second run. Never did I hit anything better then a 2.2 60'. This past season I pretty much lived there, going just about every friday for test tune. I believe I have over 80+ timeslips from April-Nov (being modest - wouldnt be surprised if it were more then 100+.) It took awhile to get things down. Im still learning how to be more consistent on launches. After I get that fixed I'll work on shifting faster.
I've read some of Alberto's pointers and took in some advice he gave to other guys but it really came down to me going out to the track and practicing as much as I can.
Practice makes perfect.
note: the track is ADDICTING! especially when you live only 10minutes from one
