Default Mr. Tire on Rte. 85

DONT EVER GO THERE!!!!
So last Thursday night I was putting air in my tires and make sure the pressure is right for the rain/sleet/snow. Realized, DAMN, my back tires are bald. Soooo.....went to Mr Tire across from Lowes Friday for new rear tires, and of course the only ones they have are the most expensive Pirelli Nero Zero Hero whatever tires, fine, throw em on. $640 and 2.5 hours later, dude comes out and says your air sensor is all messed up, doesn't work blah blah.
Me: "That's funny, because they read 34 PSI when I pulled into your ******** and I just used them last night."
Redneck: "You must have just thought that because it's been broken for a while"
As he hands me what use to be a rear air sensor that looks like it was raped by a pair of pliers.
I said whatever, replace it. Of course they have to order it from Nissan across the street and wouldn't be in until this week.
Go there today, they put it in..give me my car back, HOLY ****, low and behold my Pressure light is still on and the PSI reads --. Go back, guy says, we aint got that quipment here, you have to go to Nissan.
Drive over to Nissan, they say they need the serial number off of the air sensor and would have to break the tire back down to get it and it's over $100 bucks to calibrate it into the system and tell me Mr. ******** Tire should cover it.
Go back over there...ended up in a screaming match with the "neck" in there for nothing.
So now i have a brand new $120 air sensor that isn't doing **** and a bright orange light staring at me as i drift home on the ice. F*CK MR TIRE
-Had to rant, sorry, ruined my week

Dude everybody in the tire bus is having problems with the tpms sensors. If the proper valve stem caps arent on they will allow moisture to get into the stem and you wont be able to get the valve core out........so it needs a new sensor. Also all the car manufacturers have there own system and the tire dealers cannot reprogram about 85% of them so you are stuck with the dealer.
Until the goverment steps in like they did with the old computer systems in cars and makes it like the obd11 system where the aftermarket can pull dtc,s and do the repairs we are all fuked.

The real trick is just to know what you are doing. Most tire "technicians" if you want to call them that, just don't know WTF they are doing. All TPMS should be checked prior to commencing work on an equipped rim. My shop just spent $350 on a tool to do just this. I can go on and on about how a rim with sensors should be handled, but I will leave it that. Also why do you guys go to these places with your nice rims. I cant count the number of calls and customers I see in a week complaining about how a tire shop damaged their rims and they need a repair. I would have figured most of you would have learned by now, where NOT to go.

I paid my shop 40 bucks to unmount two tires, and then mount/balance 4 tires on my Iforged. Couldn't be happier.

I was nervous at first, but then I remembered my wheels are reverse lip, so if they got F'ed up, it would be unseeable

Why again do people like the air sensors? I'm glad I don't have them, one less thing to worry about.

If I had stock wheels/tires I wouldn't mind them but to go after market and to put up with being worried not only about them screwing my wheels up but also the sensors, I'd rather not have them.

But that's just me.
